Poem: Quatrains – “Flow Through Life, Hurts”

Thanks to the Daily Post for the word prompt flow.

——

The ebb and flow of life passing,

Each day new dreams aspiring,

Whimsical thoughts that seem,

Errant from the eye soft gleams.

——

I’ll get through this, though I feel stuck,

Each day, a rough ride but with luck,

Overcome the rising flow,

Water rising, as life firmly goes.

—–

Dreamt that I could be so free, real —

Real things are worn, wrapped with feeling,

Not a problem being worn, forlorne;

Life isn’t perfect, sometimes you’re torn.

—–

Mixing batter in the bowl, make —

Cake for whom can eat what I bake.

Nothing I make with two hands, tastes —

Worthy as freedom to be rates.

—–

Tired, worn, a lark with empty hurt,

Moments that flow by life, the worst.

Tomorrow the sun will rise, burst —

Bring better times, make it through first.
