——-

Obscured by flowers she slumbers;

In restless sleep, dreams and wonders.

Of every place she could be stumbling.

She’s on a bus; she’s left and coming.

Engaging, discovering the world,

Hands in the air, gives happy twirl.

—–

She knows she’s one of those shattered

Those broken people, hearts scattered.

All she lost hurts her, still matters,

She’s travelling, her soul battered

Wherever she feels she goes free —

Never having felt mindless glee.

—–

In parks she discovers nature’s gifts,

Rain falling down in healing bliss.

Frost on the pine trees, light snow drifts;

Fall’s leaves hanging with an ice kiss.

Dew drops on the pine needles caught,

Icicled and splendid shots.

—-

Shuttering Nikon bright photos,

Numerous, exquisite, with notes —

Written neatly underneath rows.

Photos printed, memories wrote.

Publishes first book from afar,

Remains here; she’s seen lucent stars.

—-

Gleaming, brilliant lights overhead,

New home to heal, words yet unsaid.

Forgets past, hangs laundry instead,

Milk in jug for children, she’s wed;

Life remoulded into her dreams,

Someone loves her, he teases.

——

They laugh with each other love spun;

Knows her well but she’s cut him some.

Yet he heals, heals her too; he proves —

Love is the balm, steady, true.

Whenever her edges spike through,

Holds her tight until she’s smooth, soothed.

(Her View)

Tonight’s the night he’s meeting me here later

Passions ignited, we’ve fires, need sating

All the desires of our time together, at last met

I’ll be shaking, moaning, chasing the stars

Caught in the moment, we’ll shatter as glass

Wrapped in your strong arms, I’ll have a blast.

Waiting for tonight, excitement beaming

When you and I are lovers holding,  fast.

——

Preening, applying makeup and shaking

Preparing for you, our first time creating.

Ensuring our night’s perfect; it’ll end complete.

Skin grazingcaressing, nothing sub-par

Lovers busy enjoying repast

Perfect lingerie, beneath a gown fast

Becoming a favourite; it’s perfect and tight

Rip it off, no need to be so classy

——

Waiting for tonight, our love embracing,

Perfection between us, this night for our sake.

I’ve planned it exactly, we’ll not overstep

Each moments vital, at the finale beseech.

Give into our lust, marvel in love far —

Better than any you’ve ever had; here we’ll last,

Until mornings stunning rays of light

I wait for him, he’s mine; trembling, my hands clasp.

——

(His View)

Tonight it came, the nightmare couldn’t wait

She’s obssessed, unstable, any day she’ll break.

Better to stop, was never invested, not set

On staying with her; she’s a whale beached.

Though thin like a beanpole, not nice at all

Loathsome personality, running fast —

Driving passed; her obsession frightening

I was ‘nice’ once or twice, now there’s an impasse.

——

Need freedom, her annoying voice I hate,

Can life be normal again? Not Hell made?

Can I touch the one I love, and not regret

Bringing him into drama; twice I cheated,

Boyfriend enraged; a dumb girl caused my fall.

Told her, “I like men most;” but left aghast —

She doesn’t care, spoiled girl; not smart, no insight,

Traps into engagement; I’ll always pass

———

She used to be green, envious of those,

Who moved with more than their clever placed prose.

Green burned within her eyes, she fought to know,

More than the forest invading souls; chose —

To see beyond green, jealousy which rose.

Stronger person, tougher girl who fought those,

Who placed her in such tight square-pegged green holes.

Beyond emotion to soft grace she rose.

——

Envy tears apart, so green and seething

A monster growing her sharp teeth, teething;

A vindictive being, behind scenes teasing.

No more green for her, she dreams in light blues,

No more green, peaceful serenity cued;

Jealousy hits door, tosses emerald shoes.

“What’s wrong ?” Taylor asked Olivia. They had been climbing the steps to the top of the bell tower.

“I’m tired of stairs Taylor. How many more levels?’

“I’m not sure. My friend Luca says this is the most fun you can have in this town.”

“Huh?” Olivia mumbled. “I love a great view Taylor, but stairs aren’t fun.”

Taylor chuckled, “Look, we’re here.” He grabbed Olivia and kissed her with ardor. She turned from him after awhile and admired the city which lay below them, the sun setting.

“This is amazing,” Olivia said, “What now?”

Taylor handed Olivia a special umbrella. He grabbed her hand firmly and held his own umbrella out.

“Now we go down,” Taylor said laughing as he and Olivia stepped off the bell tower ledge.

She thought she would die. Instead, the couple floated gently down onto the church lawn.

“I can’t even describe that,” Olivia said excited. She couldn’t stop grinning at Taylor.

“For a moment,” Taylor admitted, “I thought . . .”

Olivia shushed him. “One thing off our bucket list,” she said smiling and squeezing his hand tight.

Flash fiction for Aspiring Writers: “Demonic Beauty”

Enclosed in the bar, eyes magnify; temptress in red, silk sliding on skin.

Sway in her hips, a tease of the senses. Men breathless consent, adoring sin.

Striding with ease, heels ruby with diamonds. Naked shoulders shimmer, anticipating.

Treading softly, fallen in red fire, elusive, and beguiling; illusion of flames sating.

Moving her hips, licking cherry red lips; coal glimmer in demonic eyes.

Sensations burning, engulfs her body; seething, writhing, building her disguise,

A vestige of power; she’s the tyger enticing, an allusion to Eden, of poisonus lies.

Decisive, sauntering closer, flicking hair, tar-black as the ash before Lent.

Peer into eyes, a glimmer of gold, metal men grieve for; silence, fire scent.

A vision, a curse, a whisper in vain — animating, the instrument on stage,

Notes dance, music bleeding; breathing sweat, the melody of the enraged,

Fire rings, smoke engulfing; watch the woman despair, her voice entrances, beware–

Beauty enraged, a witch, incaged; performing she’s the beast, on stage no cares.

Day 1 – NaPoWriMo – Negation Sonnet ” It Does Not”

It does not share my bed at night

It always forgets to tuck me in tight

It never used to be so mean

But the things it says are now obscene

It doesn’t hold my hand to pray

If I’m honest, it has nothing to say

It doesn’t tell me I’m fair and pretty

It rather stick to it’s own little ditty

It doesn’t keep me warm inside

Lately I find it makes me want to cry

He doesn’t make me feel trust

But all I go through, I know I must

The things that break us with their shame

Build our character and help us fight pain
