Humming,

As the bird who’s —

Thrumming in the air,

Struggling for each flutter so

Rapid; so utterly fast it’s blurring.

My wings in flight are haze to you,

You don’t see underneath;

Desperation,

Humming.

——

Darkness,

Arising in —

My stomach, spiraling,

To the surface out of my —

Broken soul that I mend in those worlds found,

In each and every story, novels —

Ending hiding; I’m no —

Crab in my shell’s —

Darkness.

——-

In dreams,

I writhe, I twist,

Tales of old and new —

Follow me when enters Sandman,

To calm adventures stripping me of sleep.

But just as I live in my books,

I live in nightmarish —

Tales at midnight,

In dreams.

——-

Awake,

Oh, sheltered one.

Let the black smoke rise, cleanse

Your body from your shattered self,

Set free your mind, let your spirit live,

Life’s the greatest adventure,

Stories read fill gaps;

Burst forth spirit,

Awake.

———

Cherries,

You’re sexy  as,

Women who curl cherry —

Stems into knots with skillful tongues.

Unafraid to bare your body,

When it’s appreciated.

With love, you expose your —

Soul; All for ripe

Cherries.

—-

As books,

Sweet red cherries,

From the Okanagan,

A valley of delicacies.

Driving through B.C. in summer, you —

Stop at every fruit stand,

Selling juicy fruit — truths;

Cherries savored,

As books.

—–

Smokescreen,

Floats up swirls as —

Papal smoke; the blackness,

Forgiven reading thousands

Of tales, every genre, every language.

Devouring ‘reads’ as cherries,

Demons gone; living with —

Wisdom taught, no —

Smokescreen.

——

Light’s glow,

In each tale read.

Nourishes souls; keeps me —

Aching to learn, wanting to know,

Of worlds, fantastic characters —

With hubris, compelling charm.

While some characters are —

Searching hard for,

Light’s glow.

—–

Writing,

It filled holes,

Torn in souls, in hearts wrecked,

The reader became author,

Discovering within her fingers lies a —

Haven, a solace of peace, rest;

Because the story grows —

In her, exposing —

Writing.

Photo Challenge: Poem – Mirrored Sestet – “Fear of Moon” #amwriting #poetry

Thanks to MindLovesMisery’s Menagerie for hosting this tarot prompt of the moon.

——–

World is dim, unconsciousness formed swirls.

Swirls call my mind to odd distant other worlds.

Journey, searching, will I find a place worth,

Worth finding strange people, repeat journey

Cannot do what I need to do, what’s taught

Taught in school, remembered, forget I cannot

——

Always search, but I never find hallways

Hallways leading home, place needed always

Excitement high feeds my  inticements

Inticement lingers, through mass excitement

Words coming from my mouth, words but unheard.

Unheard words, no one understands my words.

——

Dreamscapes, such funny places explored seem

Seem alive but hiding painful dreamscapes

No escape, when you wish to climb, landscapes.

Landscapes change in dreams I find, no escape.

Colourful world, weird place some twisted other —

Other world catches, enfolds, colourful world.

——-

Where am I, that I chase and can’t find there

There? Places which are morphed, a trap, go where?

Placed objects in my hands, details I traced

Traced how they felt before I left replaced

Shimmering full moon glimmering.

Glimmering dark moon shimmering.

——

In dreams the moon it haunts, whispers of sin,

Sins past, present, future not letting in —

Hoping of waking up, tired of fake words spoke.

Spoke from mouths which would never stop hoping.

Here they do, the moon crushing hope with fear.

Fear it rules night, moon glows; yet morn now here

Poem: Wrapped Refrain – “Words on the Stairway ”

——

Back to my favourite rhymes I go,

Keep the rhythm quick as we flow,

Appeares that writing voice is back,

No need now for all your life hacks,

The refrain encapsulates vision, souring high.

The grandest place to thrive, creativity cries.

—–

Incased in suits, all bullet proof.

Meaning of powersuit, not aloof.

Fluttering new wings of glory,

Touching heaven, sparks gold stories.

Raining down vocabulary, feeling prose.

Writing anyways in poems, how this writer’s mind grows.

Round in circles, form graceful dances ever-glowing.

——

Phoenix rising, as he spins.

Diving down, prey on fish with fins.

Consuming all the rhymes precision.

No one can claim indecision,

Choose the words, that force you far into a whirlpool.

Round you’ve spun, twirling; time granted swirling jewels.

——

Another verse rises, ascending,

Riding stairways, crescendoing.

Flying the stairway to heaven,

Lyrics, mana, and nectar; times seven.

Wings of angels, spirits, enchant; singing —

Back to my favourite anthem of life, song ringing.

Poem: Hallowed Faith

How do you let your children out, while spirits whirl the earth; the forlorne dead they swirl out and surround your younglings softly.

Do their cute costumes scare the vapour away, while they beg for candy? Or, do the undead reach out for them because they know vulnerability.

I pray that if the door creaks extra loud in your dark basement you won’t think ill of all dejected presences. For where there is bad, there is always good and good is always stronger.

Don’t fear for the little ones on the streets, or in the shopping malls; pray and provide for the little ones who have had nothing to eat and can’t afford clothing (never mind, a costume.)

In the dark cementaries, the dead abide, but I think the soft murmers you hear are stirrings of your heart, for loved ones lost, holes inside you that will live while you do.

Though evil and horror exists, it’s found surface in people — the terrible demons in history. Look at the cross, don’t let evil win, and forget about the spirits dreaming.

Your happy loved ones who had faith, they went to heaven and their timeless paradise; they feel no pain, they are not moaning for you. They know you’ll come home soon — to them your life is seconds.

So, while spirits may tremble at the evil that walks, it’s because he is real but he hasn’t a shot, at your dear ones who have learned their prayers, and know what is right.

Children laugh at the figments of imagination that inspire a hallowed time of year; where candies mean more then the wandering spirits; and scary movies are fun, if you know there not real.

And while the zombies assemble, you watch the Simpson’s Halloween 2015. And your son or daughter will have M&M’s and Kitkats and you’ll take all their Reese’s Pieces –because they could have peanut allergies, you say.

Poetry – Learning to Forget

Forget

Forget, go out of your way into this day and age and forget.
Fight not to remember, but to let go, he said hello, you say goodbye.
I forgave you before, I did not sit and deplore myself or you.
I forgot, but you need to understand to forget some people in life takes more than courage.
No more empathy, or remembering, just be on your way.
Be friendly, be polite because you might just forget the day I see you again.

I’ll never know if I see you again, I’ll never understand the way things were.
Like a lilly that is blooming I could consume too much of you as you were consumed by me, I need to unfurl as that lilly does and live on drops of sunshine so I’m always at goodbye.
Don’t look on me with your judgemental eyes, if you don’t understand how the reality that is formed, today and yesterday is dead — crushed like coal beneath a shoe sole.
Awake the silent who slumber and dream of fantasy, like a dagger to their throat keep their memory silent; just forget.

I will never regret the day I forgot, but time keeps on ticking and even though I ought, little wisps of your voice wrap me like paper, trap me like a shark.
But I’m to determined to tell myself –forget — do not live on lies that chase you through the night.
Like a person with a memory reset, forget and move onto the dissolution, the disturbance, the details of the here and know.
Forget, and never remember, because I couldn’t see what the world saw in you.
Years later, I detest my cynical tears and forget there was once a time, a small girl did not know any better; just try to forget the picture in your head, pretend he doesn’t exist that he didn’t stake a claim, forget that he was a player, who wasn’t in my game.

We could never be a team because you always play for you — take the post out of my memory and forget.
Let fog amble by in swirls and cold sky, let the wind burn, so you suffered to.
Let me have one chance to see you and forget, your to loud for me and I never was more than a whim.
Forget, it’s the worst and worthiest solution to avoid you at all cost, bury our pasts and simply move on.
Don’t comment on how I look, don’t tell me anything, unless it’s sorry for hurting you.
But you forgot and that’s the difference between me and you. Your a guy and move on fast I’m a girl and I can never take back the piece of my heart you tore out of me.

As water splashes in giant fountains and you feel all the drops, let me be in every way unless you say something beautiful, make a conversation ever, but you forgot and those drops are acidic tears taking me farther down the road I go every year.
Thank God at times that I can forget and just never see you again, it would hurt because you didn’t care at all – as timeless as a thick tree trunk you grow and I still forget to forget.
Let go because I deserve some peace too, let me flame a different women now, and no longer do I see that little boy you use to be.
Forget, and never write another passage about you, forget and my heart bleeds hollow.
Forget, cause your past chases you, forget me nots dry and rot.

Freedom is won at such steep price in your head and in your heart. Forget, there are no package deals, no perfect men here, never remember and let the ghost of my eyes see you disintegrate.
Forget, it’s the rule, that drives the nail home. Don’t write about the hurt. Live your own life.
Forget… The years pass by and still I try, this is, no never was, a romance — only real life.
And some nights I swear it’s a bitch to forget the past while swirls and wirls of a world long ago leave traces behind me — so I let go all my burdens and cast the die where it rolls.
Forgetting is bleeding, and trying to forget a pain so deep inside the scar can’t be removed.
Forget him now, move by as the world sucks you back into your life, forget I am just me.
And I have become — my own self, no one controls me like that again.
Who knows, nobody knows where will each end up.
Forget.
