#NovemberNotes Day 7/Three Line Tales: Poem – Wrapped Refrain (2) – “Magnificence” #amwriting #poetry #3LineTales

For November Notes Day 7 the song is “Holecene” by Bon Iver. I’m also combining the prompt with Sonya from Only 100 Words #3LineTales.

“Holecene” by Bon Iver

——-

(One Verse of one pattern of Wrapped Refrain poetry, usually requires four to get the Refrain effect repeating the first four syllables or more in the last line.)

——

You made it clear, I was not actually someone Magnificent,

I was just a pale vacancy, lost, glaringly absent.

My soul was jagged so thick with ice,

But in the distance I saw light,

Glowing orange flames offered hope,

Someone somewhere could love me most.

You might have thought I was nothing special, indifferent,

But I see lights for miles, stretching into true magnificence.
