Something a little different for these words/lyrics. I’m no singer but my voice isn’t horrible.

——-

Under her mask, she’ll hide behind it,

You’ll never hear the truth.

There are legends inside her,

But the truth can be a terrible thing.

Let her hide behind her mask in her makeup,

Let her be free.

*****

Because we all hide behind faces that aren’t really ours,

And oh baby, you’ll see, you’ll see

That the person who’s wearing a mask isn’t just her,

It’s you and me too.

Under her mask, she’ll hide behind it,

Reveal yourself first, you first.

——

Under your mask, you’ll hide behind it,

She’ll never see the truth.

You have treasure buried deep down,

In your keep, it’s a difficult truth.

She’ll let you hide behind your mask unshaven,

She’ll let you be free.

*****

Because we all hide behind faces that aren’t really ours,

And oh baby you’ll see, you’ll see.

That the person who’s wearing a mask isn’t just you,

It’s everyone too.

Under your mask, you’ll hide behind it,

Reveal yourself first, you first.

——

Under their masks they’ll hide behind them,

No one will ever hear the truth.

There are stories locked in everyone,

Maybe there not all scarring ones.

Each person is hiding from starlight,

Let them now see.

*****

Because we all hide behind faces that aren’t really ours,

And oh baby you’ll see, you’ll see,

That the person wearing those masks isn’t just them,

It’s universally.

Under their masks, they’ll hide behind them,

Reveal yourself first, you first.

*****

Because we all hide behind faces that aren’t really ours,

And oh baby you’ll see, you’ll see

That the person who’s wearing a mask isn’t just her,

It’s you and me too.

Under her mask, she’ll hide behind it,

Reveal yourself first, you first;

Reveal yourself first, you first,

You first.

Life rolls by you think you’re forgotten but wait

Your heart holds me, for love it’s never too late.

She wasn’t the one, it happened again — you failed,

Tonight you’ll drink beer, eat  ice cream, pass out –wail.

For your lover who’s lost, who never loved you,

You filled her time, until the right match came through.

It’s easy to lay on the couch all day mad,

Or curse, yell about why she makes you so irate.

But two-weeks have passed, end the bereavement stage,

Time to awake, you’re alive so live –engage.

Life rolls by you think you’re forgotten but wait —

Your heart holds me,  for love it’s never too late.
——-

She wasn’t the one, it happened again, you failed,

Tonight you’ll drink beer, eat ice cream, pass out –wail.

Don’t fall back to bad habits, find a routein,

You may feel empty, fake it until you believe —

You’re content, a person with friends and full life.

Realizing you’d lost the you from you, your light.

Inner spark rekindled, explore as you please,

Don’t ditch your mates, laugh — stretch your soul, be appeased.

Expand your knowledge, discover new interests,

No guilt, you’re learning to assert, not splinter.

Life rolls by you think you’re forgotten but wait —

Your heart holds me, for love it’s never too late.
——

For your lover who’s lost, who never loved you,

You filled their time, until the right match came through.

I’ve been waiting long, for a glimpse of your grin.

For you to open up, for you to to heal within.

At the right moment, I’ll reveal my secret.

Loved you, from the first moment; feel such weakness,

Didn’t try to push, always near you, I seek.

Your lips in the car, a wonderful surprise,

Never thought you loved me; now I realize.

Life rolls by you think you’re forgotten but wait —

Your heart holds me, for love it’s never too late.

——

It’s easy to lay on the couch all day mad.

Or curse, yell about why she made you so irate.

You’ve me in your grasp now, I won’t let her win.

For you to feel sorrow over her, such a sin.
She wasn’t worth your effort, wasn’t worth your time.

I’m loyal; I’m steadfast; we’re friends first, consign —

Awful memories to experience, and love me more.

Distance may separate, years pass –our love’s sworn.

Who was she? Thank her hurtfulness thoughtfully,

Pain healed, gave –love, passion, silence comfortably.

Life rolls by you think you’re forgotten but wait —

Your heart holds me , for love it’s never too late.

Caresses soft, we both want, hallowed place.

World formed between limbs of ours, wrapped so snug,

I feel downy hairs; your skin is blazing.

Inferno in your eyes, burning me in place.

Hours we will spend; lips meshing; arms snug.

Wet kisses, biting teeth, leave marks on skin.

Such sinners are we in bliss, found blazing.

Creating such heat, sweat intermingles, on skin.

——–

Hands run down arms and legs, pull a part,

Search within such depths, eyes reveal,

Our own precious world as we stroke, and float.

Bliss is our home; euphoria plays part.

Kisses spread over every nook; all reveals.

This memory we keep locked in lust; pleasure,

Skin brushes, hair pulled, lips locked, we touch, float.

Breathing quickens, with larks; cry pleasure.

——–

Keeping pace with what lovers do make,

Place forbidden, for all but what lovers give.

Providing pleasure; sparks of light which scream,

An explosion of consequence share, make —

Each other never forget gift each give.

Lovers unite again to touch, caress, dream.

Giving pleasure, to make your partner scream.

Such is the lovers world, living dreams.

Only when,

You see the proof will —

You believe.

You do not–

Believe inside; with your heart,

You’ve no vision there.

—–

I sing about,

A day when I will —

Finally–

Reveal all.

Maybe the day will never —

Come; maybe you’ll grow up.

—–

You can be —

Childlike and innocent,

Be young at —

Heart and laugh,

But you’ve a complicated–

Way of showing youth.

—-

You’re not young,

You’re older then mountains,

Crumbling,

You’ve gone soft,

There’s no back bone in your body,

Perhaps, you’re a snake.

But maybe,

This is only rage —

Passed down from,

All the years,

I’ve thought, what to sing,

Attractive face hides.

—–

Don’t you know,

It’s what I’ve learned from —

You and them.

A handsome —

Face, can mask, multitude of —

Sins; dishonesty.

—–

I’m not sure,

Who I will meet one —

Day; the liar?

Or a man,

Learn-ed from, mistakes in life;

Beauty sings, reveals.

Three Line Tales: Sandboarding and Secrets.

Thank you to Sonya of 100 Words or Less for hosting 3 Line Tales each week based on a photo prompt.

1. I would like to sandboard  down this deep sand hill, it. reminds of snowboarding but better because it’s not freezing cold outside and you don’t have to dress in winter gear; if you fell I believe it wouldn’t be as tough, sand is more giving then snow, but truthfully; I’m terrible at snowboarding or sandboarding, I should’ve learned when I was a little girl and had less distance to fall to the ground.

——-

2. The shadow makes me think all the things we hide, of secrets we keep for each other, some which tear us to pieces inside, so should we keep secrets? It’s a valid question, but more so we need to be careful who we gift with what information, especially at first; I believe in honesty, but I know they’re some truths which are so awful, they should never see the light of day.

3. To live in the light, I think it’s a wonderful saying and I want to be forth right and not have to hide my true self from others; I like to say things how they are and not have to keep secrets (as I’ve said); but there are days the shadow wins and hiding secrets is the expected course of action; we need to have people we can trust with our secrets, and hope they trust their secrets to us, but I’m not always sure who you can trust with what types of secret because gossip is all too prevalent with people; secrets always bring confusion and bitterness is often a result.

Poem: Wrapped Refrain – ” You and I End, But I Survive.”

wwe.kimdodd.mft

——

Inside me I hope you see my soul,

Dreaming accomplishment, goals.

I wish you could reach deep within, see —

See beneath the visage, me.

There’s more then what is visible, in a sunrise —

Lost in the spaces of memory, arising.

—-

I hope I can reveal to you,

Treasures of thoughts, giving you clues.

I’m a women capable of love,

I take, I give more; push and shove,

I spoil you because you’re a vision, my best-friend

Depending on you, it’s difficult to do, in the end.

—-

Not sure what this says about my mind,

That I cannot trust; hurt inside.

Little by little I’ll give you more,

I’m afraid you’ll see me out the door,

I’m dreaming, being comfortable together.

Both in our sweats, and me cuddled in forever.

——

You get nervous, when I go beyond,

Physicality, a skin bond.

You give me looks at certain times,

Staring into my eyes, I’m moon shine.

But then, ignoring me because I did something wrong.

I don’t read minds, ever heard the tune of that song.

——

At times, I believed we were going,

Places, you and I, showing —

Each other we can do this spring,

We can be special, mean something.

Then you tune me out again, until you want “it” again.

I’m sad, I feel knives; leaving you, I lose but gain.

—–

I’m strong on my own and thrive.

Demonstrating I survive.

Wires of energy feeling vibes.

Turning away from us, describe —

The beauty of being alone, peaceful, and free.

Inside me, I create my own happy place, you’ll see.

Becoming a Writer, How Frustrating! My Plan:

I am hopeful person it would seem. At 27 years old I have decided that writing will be my career. All jokes about writers as starving artists aside, I have decided to go about my career plan in 2 ways. The first way is through education. Creative writing courses and specifically a more general masters then a Journalism masters. I want ( as I have said in past articles) to do a Creative Writing Masters in non-fiction but also I would like to learn more about fiction and poetry as I believe those are important ways people express theirselves in writing. This degree would give me experience and refine my writing, editing, and proof reading schools. I have two years in which I have given myself to apply for this program in case I am rejected the first time around as the Masters I want is difficult to get into. Another thing this program would give me is connections to publishing and learning about how to get your work published, or how to apply to do certain work.

The second part of my plan is a combination of writing my own blog, writing for Flurt magazine, and trying to do some writing for different individuals and companies through websites such as text broker and Guru. So far, I have not had luck with these sites, it is hard to gain experience when everyone wants someone who is experienced at writing, editing, or proof reading. To some degree I very much am but I do not have experience in finance, religious tracts, or web design. This has made things a bit difficult as they seem to be popular topics. I have experience in a lot of other areas but applying and getting your proposal accepted is difficult. I want to scream let me show you, I can do it!

At Flurt I am just looking for experience in writing articles on a variety of topics. I am getting that experience but I would like to refine my writing more and gain more experience editing. I use my experience at Flurt to apply for other writing jobs and I would really love to write for more magazines or papers. I am not always sure how to go about this. I have pitched some ideas to some publications but I guess they are not good enough ideas.

Really writing free lance is a process I have just begun. But I feel that getting my Masters and getting more published articles is tied up in my future. Free lance writing gives me a chance to have a career, as someone who can only work 4 hrs a day at home, and backing up my writing will be my MFA. Also, I am very interested in one day teaching creative writing and/ or English Literature type classes and this might mean going for a PHd in some writing discipline. I am very interested in teaching courses online, as I believe that will be a rising trend in education.

So those are my career plans realistic or not. Dreams? Based on a lot of maybe’s? Most definitely. But I have always known God has gifted me with writing for some purpose and hopefully he will reveal that purpose or those purposes as life moves forward. Things will be revealed in time and you never know how one thing can lead to another thing; there is a connection a reason for the events in our lives and for this I have always been grateful.
