Skilled, talented throwing the line, 

Worm dangles beneath, 

Fish doesn’t comprehend his fate.

Struggle, fighting, swishing, pulling in, 

Glinting scaled being, 

Waged battle, he couldn’t win. 

——

You reel him in proud, 

Heavy fish squirming, 

Another moment, then he’s still.
