Interior Design: Florida or Coastal Style Decor #interiordesign #homedecor #coastal #Floridastyle

Coastal style interior design can be defined diversely depending on where a person lives in the world. The Tropical coastal style emerged from “Hawaii, Polynesia, and many places near the Pacific” Ocean. It is decor style that is popular in homes across the world. Tropical coastal style, also known as ‘Island style,’ usually “reflects the customs, colors, and beliefs of a place’s native peoples” such as in the Hawaiian islands. “Bright, tropical patterns, natural elements such as teak and other woods, and cultural and nautical decor,” define this coastal style.

Moreover, Mediterranean Coastal style, in particular, is a home decor style with history going back for centuries. It has been used and adapted all the world but especially is found where it originated in Greece, as well as coastal towns in Spain and Italy. Mediaterrian coastal style includes a great deal of natural light, brilliant “sunbaked colors” with “terra cotta, heavy woods, black iron or metals, and carved detailing.”

American coastal style or Florida style (which I am discussing in this post) is about “relaxation and comfort,” at it’s core. It is currently, “one of the most popular decorating styles” in the U.S and in Canada and is also “quickly growing and branching” out into “sub-styles such as ‘Cottage Coastal style,’ and ‘Contemporary Coastal style.'” American coastal style as a whole may include aspects from these branches.

Florida style incorporates clean lines and materials that are natural with simple textures. A neutral background including smooth steel, wood, and woven materials are also key to achieving this look. Textiles and surface materials used in coastal style are durable and include colors such as “clear blues, sea greens, creamy whites, beiges,” other tints and shades of white and even soft gray. While coastal style homes are usually warm and relaxed some people do prefer a cooler color pallet.

My preference for both paint colors and major living room furniture, especially pieces such as couches or large comfy chairs, would be to choose neutral colors in durable fabrics as a background for more colorful decor. Neutral furniture works well for indoor or outdoor living areas as brighter colours can always be added through decorative pillows, nautical or sea themed objects, (etc).

As well, paint colors could be a warm antique white or a clearer nautical white. Subtle tints of blue, sea green, and coral would also work well for paint colors that provide a soothing feeling as if you were in an elegant but comfortable cottage.

I have always found shades of light blue, turquoise, and soft green to be luxurious and peaceful so it is not surprising that these colors are especially found in coastal design. Despite the lakeside or seaside cottage ambience, this style is also uncluttered and decorative pieces and textures should be chosen carefully. As well, if colors of the sea in light blues and greens against neutrals are not your cup of tea, coral shades and tints can create an interesting Florida design style with a more brightness.

As well, coastal style often includes prints stripes and patterns that can be bold and large, based around navel and seaside themes as well as items synonymous with Florida, and other cottage decor. As in any living room or seating area, a chair or two that contrasts against neutral colors is key outside or inside. As well, decorative pillows in a range of the color pallet can provide a room with more vivacity, texture, and key focal points. A blue or gray rug on the floor can also add subtle color and pattern. Rugs in sand shades with a beachy texture like a beach mat or some a courser material are wonderful too.

My own preference for larger pieces of furniture in the Florida style that aren’t coaches or chairs but actual wooden furniture, leans towards restored furniture or furniture that has the appearance of being restored. Colorful light blue and turquoise mid-century furniture made out of natural wood can pop against neutral walls and couches.

If you prefer, beach-like drift wood furniture works well and as does worn looking dark wood. Considering the flooring of a coastal home would also be important to determine what kind of larger cabinets, tables, (etc)., a person would choose. A darker stained wood floor for contrast with neutral walls would be anchoring. But a lighter floor that is more like a ‘sea worn’ wood would keep your home more peaceful. I enjoy painted wood furniture that has been repurposed or has that appearance myself, with darker wood floors.

Moreover, focal points or places that draw the eye to them can be created with statement art, special furniture pieces, and carefully chosen decorative ornaments. As well, nautical and beach accents such as shells, coral, sea creatures, and sea or cottage themed paintings or artwork, brighten up the laid back coastal style. I’ll note again that an uncluttered appearance is key to the style so no hoarding ornaments or decorative items and placing them everywhere. A refined cottage style retaining a tranquil and relaxing environment with an elegant sense of design is the vital. Pops of color here and there are important; however, because they help to avoid manotomy and to provide visual appeal.

Light through large windows is also significant in the contemporary coastal look because we want to keep a house bright and airy so if you are designing a home or looking for a home to decorate in the Florida style, large windows would be a wise investment. Not to mention, new windows will save you money on your power and heating bills in places where the weather becomes colder.

As well, sufficient indoor lighting is beneficial to creating the perfect ambiance. A mix of elegant metal and nautical inspired chandeliers over the dining table and in various rooms, contrast with the laid back Florida or coastal style. Table lamps for lights near chairs to read as well as to provide more lighting at night are also essential.

When designing a coastal themed kitchen it is important to keep things light and airy, carrying in color schemes from other rooms in the house. The kitchen should feel open while maintaining a coastal themed color pallet such as light blue, coral, ocean-like colors, or nautical themed hues.

White or off-white is a great choice for cupboards perhaps some with some glass in the cupboard doors. Also kitchen paint colors in light tints of blue, green, coral, in sand, and white or off-white keep a room neutral in the background.

As well, having a kitchen bar enhances the refined cottage look providing a casual place eat, but also to incorporate bright pops of color on the bar stools or on the bar top. A backsplash is also a vital place to play around with brighter shades of light blue, turquoise, navy, or coral. Perhaps only certain tiles could be vivid acting as accents in the kitchen or in a bathroom.

As well, curtains or shades in the kitchen and everywhere in the house, can contribute to having a light airy feeling through out. Curtains should not be too heavy or dark but in lighter shades or tints of the colour scheme. Sheer curtains, cotton-like, or fabrics reminiscent of nautical sails and or other nautical materials, all contribute to the coastal style.

Also, a similar design in the kitchen can be followed in places such as the bathroom and laundry room, incorporating coastal colors, textures, and tones while keeping most of the space neutral. Remembers pops of color or accents are essential in neutral spaces but should not be overdone.

Florida or coastal themed bedrooms share similarities with the other rooms in the house creating more continuity of style. The key if you are decorating your entire home in coastal style is to keep the flow from room to room without overdoing the trend. Oceanlike, comfortable, and calm surrounding are essential to recreating the effect of the luxury or a refined cottage theme for the Florida style in your own home. Bedrooms in particular should be cozy, comfortable, yet stylish.

All in all the coastal or Florida style throughout a home should keep a color palette in mind, think about flow, and how certain Colorado and hues blend with each other and neutral walls and bigger pieces of furniture. As a whole coastal style seeks to be a place people can return home to and feel at rest as if they can relax and forget about their day in their own place of a seaside haven.

Whether you prefer coastal decor or the the use of tropical vibrant colors, you can find inspiration by checking out Florida real estate for more ideas of how to bring an outdoor feeling into your home.

“So what are those exactly?” Todd asked Cheryl.

“Maybe the shop owner can tell us more. . . Hello Sir, what are these pottery items used for?”

“Little stoves. Keep you warm through winter’s night and keep the dark ones away.”

“Dark ones?” Todd and Cheryl asked in unison.

“Yes,” the man said, ” The evil spirits. The ones you don’t see. These stoves are good juju.”

“Juju?”

“They’re for candles. See venting in top lids. You leave them on when you sleep because bad ones will only leave then; it’s when they come out.”

“But what’s juju?” Todd asked the shop owner perplexed.

He sighed, frustrated, “Juju are items of magic. Can be magic for good or magic for bad. A curse or a blessing.”

Cheryl smiled. “That’s neat actually. I’ll take two, I don’t know about leaving them on at night . . .”

“Madam must leave them on this night or it will be too late.”

“Pardon?” Cheryl said nervously. She gazed at the shopowner thinking he was off his rocker.

Todd noticed the agitation of the shop owner and seeing how inexpensive the simple candle holders were, paid for four.

“Best choice. Spirits will flee,”the shop owner said bowing.

That night Cheryl awoke and to her terror she saw dark shadows such as dementors surrounding the bedroom ceiling above their bed.

Her eyes flew towards the candle holders nearby and she was relieved to see the dementor-like beings stayed away from the candle light. They left via the window which somehow had been opened.

Getting up Cheryl closed the window shivering both from cold and fear.

Interview With Jasminder Bains

Welcome to another biweekly interview on Mandibelle16. I’m hoping where ever you are the weather is nice and spring is on its way or summer isn’t too hot. This week I interviewed the impressive and talented writer Jasminder Bains from the United States. You can check out her blog here: Confessions Of A Reborn Girl

1. Hi Jasminder. Please Tell Us About Yourself?

Where to begin…I live to write because it’s my form of therapy and I love weaving words into stories. I’m a full-time dream chaser with a knack for crafting things and philosophizing and overthinking when I can.

I’m two years clean and keeping it that way. Psychology fascinates me; hence, I’m majoring in it. You’ll find there is a lot of psychology based posts on my blog. I love to sing and dance to KPOP when nobody’s around, or at least when I think nobody’s around. I had to run up three flights of stairs because I got caught once.

Also, I’m obsessed with green tea and I like to meditate because it clears my mind. I prefer video games and Doc Martens to dresses ( I only own one dress) and makeup. The only makeup I wear is eyeliner and it’s about as good as my sense of direction. I get lost even with a GPS to help me find my way. I’m an aggressive middle-class minimalist who pillages anything I can get my hands on; this is why I have a ring of rocks sitting on my dresser.

I have moments where I’m incredibly with the times and others I’m not. I set up a Twitter account recently. I have no idea what half the buttons mean. But I can give you Excel pointers and talk about ‘markdown formatting;’ I can’t tell you much about Facebook.

2. When Did You Begin Writing and Blogging? What Does Writing and Blogging Mean To You? What motivates and inspires you?

I started blogging last July, but I’ve been writing since I was in fifth grade. Poetry and blogging are how I vent as well as defeat stereotypes. I write because I want to heal other people and because I love doing it.

I find inspiration from my life because I’m an avid people-watcher and I overthink everything. I find new material is as simple as walking into the middle of a cafeteria and sitting down. I learned so much about human interaction by doing this. I make time for writing whenever I can.

“I live to write because it’s my form of therapy and I love weaving words into stories. I’m a full-time dream chaser with a knack for crafting things and philosophizing and overthinking when I can.” – Jasminder Bains

3. What Are Your Most Current Writing Projects? Any Future Projects You Have In Mind?

I’m planning on participating in the 2017 Kindness Challenge! The link to sign up is here if you’re interested. I’m also hosting my own blogging challenge, it’s called the ‘Boundless Challenge.’ The premise of the challenge is to share a #boundlessmoment from the past week where you did something that you thought you weren’t actually capable of doing.

I started the challenge not too long ago so it’s relatively new. My goal is to inspire people through this prompt. Maybe they will believe they are capable of doing much more than they think they can do. Check out the sixth #boudlessmoment challenge on my blog HERE.

4. Can You Tell Us More About Your Blog and Why You Started Blogging?

When I founded @Confessions (Confessions Of A Reborn Girl) I had one goal and one goal alone: to teach others about human potential. Too many times I’ve heard stories of people who gave up on their dreams because they didn’t think they had it in them or someone discouraged them from their path. I’m here to tell you that you are good enough and that nobody can tell you otherwise.

“The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.” – Alice Walker

That being said, [my blog] would qualify as a lifestyle blog, though I focus more on mentality and mindset rather than fashion or food. My blog categories are different takes on that ‘boundless lifestyle’ if you will.

Life, as the catagory name states, revolves around my everyday thoughts and experiences. [As I noted above] you can also find my own blogging challenge, the Boundless Challenge, which is devoted to inspiring the WordPress community to achieve their full potential. At the end of each week, I share #boundlessmoments of my own and from across the internet. . . Who knows? Maybe next week you’ll be featured!

Writer’s Corner is [a segment on my blog] where I analyze social norms and American culture along with occasional philosophizing. DIY is exactly as the name states. I have this category because crafting opened up my thinking in a way nothing else could. I believe that it can do the same for you. [Lastly, my] meditation journal [catagory] stems from my adoration for — well — meditation. [Since I] over-think, meditation is the perfect counter to my habit and it helps me analyze my emotions and inner conflict.

“Too many times, I’ve heard stories of people who gave up on their dreams because they just didn’t think they had it in them or someone discouraged them from their path. I’m here to tell you that you are good enough and that nobody can tell you otherwise” – Jasminder Bains

5. How Does Your Blog Tie-In With Your Stance on Mental Health?

I continue to challenge the stigmas and negative stereotypes surrounding the field of mental health. There’s so much more to psychology than depression or schizophrenia or bipolar disease; [these are] only a small branch of [what is called] abnormal psychology. In order to understand the abnormal, we must first understand the normal.

I hope that by being open about my own experiences with mental health challenges and triumphs, I can give others the strength to do the same. There’s nothing wrong with having a bad day, month, or year. There’s nothing wrong with having things that keep you up at night. There’s nothing wrong with being broken.

6. Do You Have Any Other Projects On The Go? What Is Your Writing Process Like? Do You Have Any Genres of Writing or Reading that You Prefer?

I’m planning on writing a fiction book called Project Rebirth. I’ve no details other than that because I hardly know what the book is about myself. 😛 For me, writing is painful.Writing is life. WHAT WAS I THINKING WRITING THAT?!! Editing is painful. Editing is life. Rinse and repeat.

Fantasy is my FAVORITE genre. None of this 21st-century teen smut fantasy romance. I mean classy fantasy like Cornelia Funke’s Inkheart series or Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling or The Ranger’s Apprentice booksI prefer these types of books so much more than teen romance novels.

“I hope that by being open about my own experiences with mental health challenges and triumphs, I can give others the strength to do the same. There’s nothing wrong with having a bad day, month, or year. There’s nothing wrong with having things that keep you up at night. There’s nothing wrong with being broken.” Jasminder Bains

7. Do You Have Any Helpful Tips for Other Writers? Is There Anything Else You’d Like to Share Pertinent to this Interview?

Keep writing. It’s the only way you get better (and shameless). Also, I want to fight the negative stigmas and stereotypes around mental health because it’s vastly misunderstood and generalized which is dangerous for everyone.

8. What Are Your Three Favorite Blogs You Follow Of Any Kind?

“Pain”

By Jasminder Bains

August 26, 2016

*****

What’s this? My insides feel like they’re tearing apart.

Something’s wrong, I should take some medication.

Something’s wrong, it’s 3 A.M. and I’m awake again. Did I ever fall asleep? I feel like I’m dying.

I’m frozen, I feel like screaming, is this really real?

Maybe this is the dream I have to wake up from, I don’t remember falling asleep so maybe I never woke up.

Something’s wrong, it’s 4 A.M. and I’m still here. I should just close my eyes, I wouldn’t be able to sleep if it was appendicitis….would I?

Something’s wrong, it’s only 7 A.M. and I’m already awake. No, mum, don’t leave for work just yet. There’s a patient lying here in bed who needs to be seen.

Mum is gone. My brother needs my phone for school. It’s low on battery because I stared blankly at music videos and funny vines for half the night unable to react thanks to the burning sensation in my stomach.

Dad wants to know what’s going on so I spill my guts on him. It’s time to try another medication, stay hydrated, and ride things out.

Mum says book an appointment if it doesn’t get better. I wonder if it will get better.

I’m a statue, unmoving and emotionless. I thought today was yesterday. Guess my brain didn’t register that I ever went to sleep.

Should I feel crooked that this pain is now who I am? I don’t want to do anything let alone go the hospital. It could be nothing. Just like me.

Dad wants me to make him lunch if I’m able. Fine. The pain is mostly gone and I can wait 10 minutes to pass out.

There are two types of naps: the kind that make you feel worse than before, but you know you had no choice, and the kind that make you feel energized. Mine was the latter. Maybe it’s because I slept two hours instead of 20 minutes. Oh well. At least the pain’s almost gone.

All I’ve had to eat today is half a bagel and a tin of Chobani yogurt. I should eat something else. A salad sounds divine only I’m not sure if I’m strong enough to eat the croutons and leaves yet. Only one way to find out. Verdict: I can chew a crouton. I can’t chew a spinach leaf. I’ll just have a burrito.

Something’s wrong, it’s been 18 hours since I laid awake in bed screaming in my head and I’m doing it again. Except this time in a chair with a plate of food in front of me. Forget it. I’m not eating if it’s gonna sting this bad. Time to take some more medication.

I don’t want to be a physical embodiment of pain, I want my life back. I want to feel joy again, I want to listen to music that lifts me up again, I want to write a blog post ahead of time again, I want to have faith again, I want to feel healthy again, I want to have both feet planted firmly on the ground again, I want to be me again.

~Live Boundless.

Everyone’s felt broken, with force knocked down;

Leave your floodgates open, sad tears douse fires.

Learn to love when someone hurts you, when you drown —

In tears, the sweetest nector, they inspire.

There’s great might in being weak, don’t meltdown,

Pick-up the pieces, work with it –aspire.

Everyone’s felt broken, with force knocked down;

Leave your floodgates open, sad tears douse fires.

There is strength in you, a hero renowned,

You’ve more terror than the fire demons respire.

Beat, belittled, your relisiant admired.

You’re better than your worst days –you’re profound

Leave your floodgates open, sad tears douse fires.

1. The walls close in, I cannot breathe; this city makes me feel overwhelmed — claustrophobic — somekind of modern Hell; it surrounds me, I think is this the future? A place which guards and enwraps us with all its conveniences and tiny living spaces — not a single thing is green and alive; we choke on simulated air.

2. Let me out and let me soar; if I fly down from the top of the city, perhaps, I’ll sprout wings? I only think this though, the birds are all gone, the animals too; here is a carefully calculated society — a dystopia.

3. The buildings rise up high and press against me, make me want to scream for a grassy open field, for a piece of nature that’s imperfect and unreplicated in a lab; nature herself isn’t supposed to be simulated — she is anything but perfect and I wish for the long ago memory of a flower’s velvet pink petal.

3 Line Tales: Tales of Sunlight and Darkness

Samuel Zeller

——

1.Surrounded by darkness, yet bathed in light; the sun holds us rapt through the window and illuminates us with it’s cheerful presence; yet behind us is the office, the blackness and blankness of that space I sit and toil in depresses me, but here in sunlight I find a few moments of freedoms with my colleagues; I don’t know them and they don’t me but here we are neighbours in luminescence, at liberty from the chains waiting to be replaced in our cold shadowed offices.

2. This classroom is different from the others I’ve had courses in, for one thing there are gigantic glass windows and open space where I don’t feel as if I’m some mole in a depressing dank hole of a classroom; in this space I feel inspired, I feel hope that I can learn, and do the work the class requires; the open feeling extends to how students treat each other,we laugh, banter, and we trade ideas back and forth (the professor is merely a mediator); at the end of class I’m refreshed and ignited with a passion to learn, a passion I could carry into a career, at least into my school work.

3. I haven’t been here, at this place too long and it’s a new setting for me to become used to; usually, I have worked in silence, now there are the voices of many people spinning and weaving with the sunlight from the huge windows; I’m not used to the light either, it is a warm blast of suppression, making the sunlit tables more stifling; I like the darkness and I am at my best in it, so I watch my new environment with people talking excitedly, observing how these persons thrive in the glow of sunlight, and I thrive in the shadows, the tar black places of the mind.

Look,

Wide eyes,

See the glare,

Mesmerized,

Sea salt tastes  — warm air,

What’s  forbidden, hidden,

And thoughts consume illusion.

Enter wide-eyed into the valley reside,

All you envisage in the storming,

Flames of falsehood overtakes all fathomed, burning.

Chase the thought of memories, churning.

Life is bliss except when concern heeds,

Warning’s powerfully thrall.

Eyes with wisdom; embrace and see,

 Before judgement they follow,

Words the mind made hollow,

Significance points,

Persuaded now,

Of the fall.

Make this,

Right.

If there was an item of luxury that I could have… it would be hard to choose because there are things that are meaningful in various ways. Even the term ‘luxury’ can be debated. What’s luxury to me, may be only normal with someone who is used to having more money to spend. Or what I might have in my life right now might be very luxurious to someone who can hardly make ends meet and has to eat poorly and shop at the thrift store.

So here are my little list of luxuries I’d like to have:

http://www.polyvore.com Chanel Black Wool Coat

1. A thick black Chanel wool coat that is cut to highlight the curves of a woman’s body but is made in away that it’s style is timeless and will fit me all my life. The wool does not pill and the coat is soft and comfortable. When I’m eighty-five years old this coat will still look good on me and still be quality vintage Chanel. This coat is thick enough that I can wear it when it’s minus thirty degrees Celsius outside (with a sweater) but thin enough I can pull it on in the fall and the coat is not to bulky. It should be classic couture.

2. My own luxury condo situated in or by the new ice district in downtown Edmonton. It will be a two-bedroom unit with a large master bedroom with a walk in closet by California closets with places to hang all my clothes winter/spring/summer/fall. It will have places to put my nice dress shoes, my high boots that I wear in Winter and Fall,  and all my other flats, runners, sandals, booties etc. It will be a completely outfitted closet with drawers for lingerie, scarves, jewelry, sunglasses and many other accessories drawers. There will be a tall window in my closet so I can see how outfits look in natural light and a chase lounge to sit on or throw shirts on. Also, I will need a large unique mirror on one of the smaller walls.

In the bedroom will be a little sitting area next to a window where I can read on my IPad and study.  The room will be painted light blue and feel cool, airy, and elegant. There is a king size bed that is so comfortable and sheets that are a soft cotton, duvets, and pillows that can be interchanged. There is a good sized his closet.

There is also a Master bath with a large tub, a glass tiled shower that is tall and double the size of a normal shower with a wooden bench. Their will be double sinks with lots or storage underneath with drawers for tiolatries and shelves for towels. Their will be a toilet that is a water closet. Of importance will be a dressing table (vanity) with a large mirror and much space for makeup, haircare, and appliances. The vanity is antique but repurposed. I would like a lot of the wood furniture to be painted and repurposed as this also environmentally friendly.

The house will have a kitchen with a bar that seats about six.  It will have a lot of counter space and all the necessary appliances in white and light blue dishes with coordinating colors. I will have everyday dishes and some good dishes and bowls to make food in and present food nicely. There will be a cupboard only for food with lots of shelves which aren’t too deep. The sink will be a double sink with a faucet that is connected by a hose to come out and spray extra dirty dishes. And there will be enough space for two bodies to move and work in the kitchen btw every surface.

There will be an open dining and living room area. There will be large fluffy coaches that are still sleek and stylish. There is a lot of light from windows and tastefully done lighting throughout the condo. The floors will be wood, I think dark but not black and we will have some carpets over top of the wood floor in the living and dining areas. The dining table is large rectangular wood and painted white and all the rooms in the house are warm and inviting. Their are many pieces of colourful and meaningful art work all through out the condo. Some of it is expensive and some of it is not. It is artwork me and my guy chose for whatever reason.

At the dining table are comfortable chairs that can be reapholstered if I want in years to come. There is a classic Chandelier above the table. And somewhere in the living room is a well stocked bar cart. And there is space to put wine glasses for white and red wine, champagne, martinis, and water.

There is a large flat screen TV above a fireplace that is only for show. One of those electric ones. There are blankets and a few pillows on the couches so you can settle down at night and watch the hockey game or your favorite show. There is a patio outside the living room and patio doors which let in a lot of light. The patio fits a small patio set with comfortable chairs and one of those patio tables you can light a fire in. There is space for a BBQ on the patio.

The second bedroom is lovely with an adjoining bathroom with double sinks, a glass shower, and a tub. It has a queen size bed and crisp sheets and a warm duvet. The colors are warm and spa like. There is a small sitting area guests can sit and read or watch a small TV and a decent sized walkin closet.

There is also lots of closets throughout the condo for storage of various items. There is a good size armour for coat storage in the entrance and a bench you can sit down on to take off your shoes.

The condo is modern, yet timeless taking in old elements of style and making them in a new way. The whole style is relaxing and not too cluttered. It is cleaned by a maid once a week 🙂

3. I want to go on a vacation to Europe and stay in five star hotels with good food and a nice gym area.I want to go to  France to Paris, Niece, Lion, and Capri. I want to visit Tuscany and some of it’s fruit and vinyards. I want to shop in Paris and see the Louvre a few times, and go a little ways up the Eiffle tower, not all. I want to eat at cafes and have tea and croissants. I want to dress up for dinner and try some French cuisine but no snails, fish or anything too weird. I want to travel with someone I love.

Spain would be nice to rent a villa for a week out on the white sand beaches and to experience Spanish culture in a couple of cities, Madrid and Barcelona. I want to visit Enfland and Ireland. Just the two capital cities, London and Dublin. I want to find out where my Great Grandparents were from in England. I want to go to churches and Abbeys, and Castles. I especially want to go to Westminister Abbey.

I want to go to Germany and Austria. I want to see where soldiers fought in wars and the devestation of a concentration camp, so I can always remind myself to never forget how horrible humans can be, and remind others too. I want to go where the Reformation occurred led by Martin Luther and John Calvin in Wittenburg. See Berlin and Frsnkfurt. And go where my family comes from in Leipzig.

Then I want to travel to Italy and see Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan, and Pompeii. I want to see many historical buildings and art works. I would like to go to the Opera somewhere and I would like to shop. I would like to take in Italian culture. And lastly, I would like to go to Greece to Athens and Thessaloniki. I would love to see the ruins of Ancient Greece and Rome. I would like to go to the beach and take a boat trip on the blue water. Maybe this trip would be about six months I think.

6. I’d give this all up if I could be healthy. If I could not have mental illness or chronic fatigue. If I could think clearly and not wear out so fast. If I could not forget little things I now forget. If I could be fit and a healthy and able to take care of myself. This is a luxury worth infinitely more then anything I have described.
