Beauty: Ipsy Bag July 2018 #Ipsy @saythelees #beauty #makeup

Here’s July’s Ipsy Cosmetic bag. Each month I receive a cute case and five items to try that are makeup, skincare, or related. If you’re interested in signing up for Ipsy, you can do that here: Ipsy Bag.

A mermaid or water-like theme for July’s Ipsy makeup bag. I liked this one a lot. It has a pretty sheen.

July’s little description card, focused on Summer of course!

OFRA Cosmetic Laboratories: Eyeshadow in Shimmery Charcoal — I like it, but it’s a bit dark to wear most days. Even at night, I’m not a huge fan of dark-grey, I prefer dark-brown or dark-purple in my crease, if I wear it.

SUGAR Cosmetics: Stroke Of Genius Heavy-Duty Kohl in Green Light 03 — I loved this, surprisingly. I’m not much for Green, but this is beautiful as an eyeliner when you want to do a nude eye, and not much else. It’s creamy and buttery, and stays-put well. The green shade is nice, like a sea green, not a moss. A great item that matches all eye colors well.

Mellow Lipstick: In Candy Floss (Matte Lipstick) — Great shade, almost a neon pink and bright for summer. For me, a bit too neon, but I have friend who has a similar complexion and loves this bright pink color.

Free Hugs B’LIVINN Nail Polish: Color – Awesome — This neon pink polish matches the lipstick, but the lipstick is matte, while the nail polish is shiny. I’m going to put this with the lipstick, for my friend. The brand is great, I’ve used it before and the color goes on smooth and bright.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Paris: Vanilla BlackBerry Eau De Toilette (Natural Spray) — This scent is wonderful. It smells so good, and I love it. It’s a product, I’d purchase. The combination of a sweet blackberry note, with the vanilla smells refreshing and light; the vanilla isn’t overpowering. Love this Natural Spray, it’s excellent.

Ipsy Bag: June 2018 #Ipsy #beauty #Ipsysocialbutterfly #Ipsybag #makeup #skincare

Here’s what I received in this month’s Ipsy Bag. To join the beauty subscription you can sign up at Ipsy.

June’s Cute Case in Support of Pride Month.

This month’s little subscription card.

PD Cosmeceuticals Infused Nail Lacquer (Polish) – The nail polish is nice, but not my color.

Feel PURE Anywhere Balm – Rose: This stuff is amazing! I loved it for chapped or cracked lips, especially at the corners. I’ve never had such issues with chapped lips in summer and usually find that Aragon Oil will heal the cracks at the corner of my mouth in a night. But it hasn’t been working, so this Balm has been working great as a kind of salve for my lips and mouth area in dry weather. Nice flavor too!

FINDING FERDINAND Nude/Pink Lipstick: Moisturizing and also the perfect nude/pink. I’m happy with this little lipstick choice this month 🙂

Kenzie Fragrance: I’m not sure what this perfume or fragrance is called. It doesn’t smell bad or good. It’s kind of a ‘meh’ scent. Maybe it’s a natural perfume, but I think the scent itself could be better.

MAC Prep & Prime – Skin Base Visage – MY FAVORITE! This stuff is amazing 🙂 It’s a primer and gel moisturizer in one. It’s so light and wonderful under makeup everyday to keep your makeup on through the day and also in the heat. This one I am going to purchase. It’s about $38.00 CAN on the MAC website.

Beauty: Ipsy Glam Bag May 2018 #Ipsy #Ipsybag #amwriting #beauty

This month’s Ipsy bag arrived this past week. If you’re interested you can visit their homesite at Ipsy. Here’s the goodies I received:

Travel Themed Makeup Pouch!

Beaute Basics Eyeshadow in Satin Taupe:

‘Rich pigment, long-lasting, super-blendable,’ all in a ‘buttery satin’ finish. This goes on well and stays on. It’s the perfect brown shade for Smokey-eyes at night, or everyday.

Briogeo Roscarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray:

I love this brand and their hair products. This one’s a great size to take with me to Vegas for a week, as well.

– This spray has ‘hydrating and frizz-fighting benefits’ with a mix of argan, coconut, and rosehip oils.’

– It’s ‘cool milky formula’ isn’t a cream so it’s a light spray that won’t ‘weigh down your hair.’ It’s also a hair ‘detangler’ with a light and fresh ‘tropical fancy-spring cocktail’ scent.

Touch In Sol: Style Sepia Gel-Liner in Jardin:

This Is a great liner for tightlinng and the colors a blackish-brown so it’s Smokey-Eye appropriate.

– This liner also has a ‘subtle green shimmer’ and is indeed, ‘long-lasting’ and mostly ‘smudge-proof.’

Taste Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder:

I was so excited to try this for setting my makeup at the end of my routine; I was impressed.

– This setting powder is awesome for any skin type and is made with ‘Amazonian clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River.’ It controls your skin’s ‘oil production,’ ‘brightens dark spots,’ and ‘balances your moisture levels.’

– The powder also works to ‘mattify makeup, minimize pore appearance, blur skin imperfections, and reduce shine.’ As you can see, the powder is translucent and useful for a variety of purposes. The powder is fine and ‘spreads easily;’ it won’t cause ‘flashbacks’ in photos.

OFRA Cosmetics: Liquid Lipstick in Ipsy Unzipped:

A matte purplish shade that won’t ‘dry out your lips.’ It has ‘Vitamin E to keep lips ‘hydrated, comfy, and soft.’ Not my favorite shade — too dark, but a color that would suit my skin tone, nonetheless.

– This Lipstick is ‘lightweight, long-lasting, and stays put’ for a long time. The shade is a ‘nude-berry shade’ and I passed it on to another lady who likes the shade better. Overall, an awesomeMay Ipsy Bag!

Beauty: IpsyBag – April 2018 #beauty #Ipsy #makeup #skincare #ipsysocialbutterfly

So here is the fist bag of my new beauty bag subscription from Ipsy.com. The price is right and I received 5 great items and a case. It costs about $15.00 CAN/month and less in the U.S. for about $11.00/month. If you’re interested, here’s the sign up link: HERE.

You can see what I received below:

A gorgeous little butterfly case, designed, and cute for many uses, makeup and beyond.

MudMasky: Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask: pH-balanced, pore-refining, hydrating, Anti-aging, brightening, and smoothing. Natural, Paraben Free, Not Tested on Animals — (www.mudmasky.com). -15 ml/0.5 mL sample

A wonderful little mask that, so far, has been great for my skin. It smells nice and leaves skin feeling smooth and brighter, as promised.

IMEECH and MIA: Eyeshadow in COPPER (meechnmia.com) Sample Size.

This shadow has nice pigment. It’s quite sparkly, but a bit too orange for my skin. Nonetheless, a nice eyeshadow product.

Ciate London: Fierce Flicks Black Liquid Liner (ciatelondon.com)1.7 mL/0.05 Fl.Oz. – Full-Sized Product

Great liquid black eyeliner is hard to find. I’ve tried Ciate nailpolish before, but never any makeup. This liner isn’t waterproof, which is my only concern. Nevertheless, it has stayed on well, with awesome pigmented liquid colour, and a felt-tip good for fine or thicker lines.

Trust Fund Beauty: That Liquid Glo Tho – Liquid Highlighter (www.trustfunbeauty.com) – 8 ml/0.27 Fl Oz. – Vegan, Free from Harmful Toxins, Cruelty Free, Ethical and Beautiful – Large Sample Size.

Probably the product I was most looking forward to, but was disappointed. Maybe it was because this liquid highlighter doesn’t blend well with foundation underneath? Or, that the goldish-pink colour is too pale for my skin?

I was hoping to use this as a daily highlighter for a natural glow, or to mix with foundation, but so far, not much luck. I’ll keep trying. I love the packaging, the colour, the brands ethical standards, and product ingredients. But I wish this highlighter was more pigmented and had a better gleam. So far, it barely shows up.

Vasanti Cosmetics: Concealer Buffer Brush. (Worth $23.00 US). Full-Sized.

Lastly, I received a concealer makeup brush. It’s a cheaper brush, to me. The quality that other brushes of the same worth have, isn’t there. However, it’s a good brush to apply powder highlighter on your cheeks, nose, and brow bone.

I don’t think it would stand up well as a concealer brush, due to concealer usually being a wet product, and the bristles of this brush coming out to start. But overall, a great bonus item for the April bag.
