——-

Mommy you let go my hand, I’m quick–

Mere seconds pass, I’m laughing freely,

I run.

—–

Mommy, I’m giggling what it is —

Feeling free, everyone looks at me,

Smiling.

—–

Down the aisles of Superstore,

You’ve lost me, can you find me now?

I’m fast.

——-

Boxes, packages to pull down,

Grinning, happy, into candy,

Sitting —

——-

Waiting for me on the shelf are —

My favourite chocolate and gummies;

Mommy?

——

Where’d you go? I think I’m lost,

I’m scrunching my face, tears begin,

Where’d you —

——-

Go? Mommy; don’t leave me here now,

Some lady grabbed my hand and —

It hurts.

——

She won’t let go, dragging me off,

Stranger danger; no one helps me,

Let Go!

*****

It’s okay now, Mommy is here

Holding you close, grabbing your hand;

She runs.

——

Scared I’ll turn her in and I should,

Who tries to kidnap a child in —

Daylight? —

——–

At all? Cannot trust, stay near me,

Now you know why and you’re safe,

From harm.

—–

Mommy will never let you go,

Her precious boy, her sweet sunshine,

Is hers.

Laughter in the moment, golden hour found

Hearts beat as one, time stops, without a sound

Swing her up into your arms, because it —

Felt like the thing to do, she’s dear and swift;

Her punch on your arm, painful kind of bliss

All to happy to meet with a wet kiss.

Perserved in time the clock keeps ticking fast,

Moments gone, looking back, it never lasts.

Years slide forward, what can you do but,

Move forward too, memories cause a rut.

Laughter in the moment, golden hour found,

Hearts beat as one, time stops, without a sound

—-

Swept her up into your arms, because it —

Felt like the thing to do, she’s dear and swift.

Wiggling and giggling in your —

Arms; begging to have legs on ground restored

She thought she was too heavy for your back,

You just laughed and kept her close, said “Relax.”

You were walking barefoot on the cool —

Wet ground, the grass made you slip, such glad fools.

Drop of joy harnessed in a crystal glass

Kept to hold, make the precious moments last.

Laughter in the moment, golden hour found,

Hearts beat as one, time stops, without a sound.

Her punch on your arm, painful kind of bliss

All too happy to meet with a wet kiss.

Lovers as close as lovers can be, rolling —

On the blanket, on grass, after strolling.

Gleam in her eyes promising heaven,

Twist of her smile taking you to Never —

-land of pirates, lost boys, and she, Wendy,

Picking up a sword, fighting for her when —

Pirates attacked; shoeless running in real

Life; time ceasing again, treasures for feels.

Laughter in the moment, golden hour found

Hearts beat as one, time stops, without a sound

——

Perserved in time, clock keeps ticking fast,

Moments gone, looking back, it never lasts.

The truth is hard to swallow, to remember

Years pass, euphoria is dismembered

Harsh realities, sickness, health; sickness wins,

She flew away my sparrow with the wind.

Such disease sucks the life from a body,

Hope, a religious dream from pain prodded.

A new eternity to love, swing round with —

Dirty bare feet and love despite death’s grip.

Laughter in the moment, golden hour found

Hearts beat as one, time stops, without a sound

Love it —

Must be more than,

What Emma simply says,

When You’re losing,

Your teeth.

——–

She says,

Quite clearly,

And she’s only six-years,

But she’s wise for —

Her age.

——–

Wisdom,

Just children have,

Amaze adults revealing that,

Love is more than,

We think.

——-

Complete,

And comfortable,

Smiling without teeth ’cause,

Your friends love you,

For you.

—–

No matter,

You’re missing teeth,

And have gapes in your mouth,

Friends care not, love —

Anyways.

——-

Of all,

Kids’ memories,

The best to remember,

Innocence made.

Without —

——–

Judgement,

Only fighting,

Over favourite toys,

Grudges not kept,

Hands held.

——

Pets like,

Favourite cats,

Laughing at penguins from,

Favourite movies loved,

With Friends.

——-

Second —

Homes, each other’s —

Houses; kids come and go,

Colouring,

Painting.

——–

Spending,

Childhood doing,

All the activities kids,

Should be doing,

Laughing —

——–

Over,

Funny things told,

Not really funny but,

Giggling stuck,

Can’t stop.

——-

As kids,

Laugh at every,

Age; children’s innocence,

Refreshing and,

So kind.

——

Especially,

When they teach us,

Lessons like to love anyway,

Family and friends,

Anyone.

—–

Kids play,

Not realizing,

World’s complicated; let —

Children be free

Always.

Poem: Ninefold – “Joyful Laughter”

Woman laughing
http://www.askinyourface.com

Her hair pushed back; flowing behind her,

Laughter, spontaneous, unrestricted.

Twirling her highlights, laughing; such life.

She smells like jasmine, sense of humor–

Amusing, giggling, she’s fancy-free,

Making her scent more fragrant, pleasing.

Laughter from her heart; a light within–

Dances in her eyes; she’s fully immersed,

Mirthful, lovable; beautiful soul.

Poem: Musette (2,4,2) – ” Movement and Rhythm” #poem #amwriting #musette #wordhighjuly

Today’s Musette, will have a proper Musette Rhyme Scheme. I forgot with the last one. The rhyme scheme is aba, cdc, efe,

——–

———

Rhythm,

Beat in our steps,

Driven.

———-

Moving,

Here than there, soft —

Soothing.

———–

Keeping,

Up requires,

Teasing.

———–

Such beats,

Cause turns, whirls, tough —

Retreats.

————-

Time makes,

The beat, the noise

Move, break.

————

Solid,

Sound collides, and dives.

Calling.

————

Dancer,

Step, dip, move and,

Take chance.

————-

Laughter,

Steps on toes with —

Sore calves.

—————

Twirling,

Movement bracing,

Swirling.

—————-

Your heart,

Keeps time with mine,

It starts —

—————

Each time,

You take my hand,

And grind.

—————-

Giggle,

Hips and feet glide,

Wiggle.

—————-

Long through,

The night we dance,

Both prove,

——————

Delight,

Moon glows, shimmies.

Invites.

—————-

Night fades,

Brilliant sunrise,

Fun made.

The smile you place upon my lips and kiss,

Resonates within my heart’s core, dive in,

When you ask for as kiss, you sip, such bliss.

Letting time build and love restore within,

Pain once existed, left in night of dark.

Touching your skin, which I adore, no sin.

Laughter is all I feel, nothing which is stark,

Before you, life was emptiness, depart —

Giggling, smirk, hear the cheerful larks.

Telling j0kes, yours are genius of heart,

Never failing to make you smile, I try.

Dry wit turns away soberness, take heart.

When I think of you grinning while I sigh.

Thinking, words which will turn sadness away.

With rich laughter, love’s no trial, stay awhile.

Future is distant, with gladness I pray,

As we age you I know, I’ll adore you and grin.

Young love requires days of madness, I say.

No doubt in my mind, you are rightly mine.

No doubt in your mind, I’m your light shining.

The smile you place upon my lips and kiss.

Letting time build and love restore within.

Sunday Photo Fiction: One Thing at a Time

When you see a tire lying emeshed in ice and snow by a frothing icey river, you don’t think much about what you’re seeing. What would a random tire say if it could talk?  Would it tell you the story of the SVU it was apart of? There were two young children in the vehicle.

How fast was their mother driving on the slick roads? Sally wasn’t paying attention and was texting and talking on her phone while driving. She was too busy having a conversation with her friend about a playdate.  Sally was too busy texting her husband to pick-up milk on the way home. Tom and Isla were playing; they were giggling and laughing in the back seat and were hushed by Sally.

Then the SUV started to hydroplane and Sally tried to break, but the vehicle was spinning and slipping down the side of the road and she couldn’t hault the SUV against the slush and snow. She couldn’t stop it from driving into the river.

Sally remembers the screaming of her children. She doesn’t know how she got out of the SUV, only that she had been crying out for Tommy and Isla from the moment she was dragged from the river. Sally keeps asking for her children. She wants to go back to the river to look for them.

Finally she sees them, white faced with  blue lips, eyes closed, and peacefully frozen; they are sculptures. She waits for their tiny chests to rise, to breathe. Even adults who are experienced swimmers can’t survive in raging winter rivers. But Sally waits, tears frozen to her face.
