Dragons are here, I know it

Dragons beware, my sword is sharp

Sharp as the knives hid on my body

Sharp as the tongue of my wife

Wife said, “Do not go”

Wife begged, yet I went

Went through the haunted forest dark

Went through the storms, muck, and mire

Mire as quicksand, sucked in my body

Mire that almost swallowed my life

Life burnt a flaming hole so wide

Life’s flame would not flicker out

Out of the muck and mire pulled

Out of certain death to rescue a princess

Locked in a tower for my Lord, my King

Locked in a tower and languishing

Languished she did for centuries

Languished as a spell had been cast

Cast, so she would always sleep

Cast, because evil always hates

Hates beauty and goodness

Hates who this princess is said to be

Be afraid though, I warn you, friend

Be vigilant in your task to save

Saving the princess isn’t the challenge

Saving her, I wondered, where is the dragon?

Dragon she rose from the depths of beauty

Dragon was the the princess herself

Herself screaming, “I am the dragon”

Herself shouting, “I will eat you whole”

Wholly she transformed in that fiery beast

Wholly she was a scaled, sulphereous demon

Demon who cried, “I am no damsal in distress”

Demon who seethed, “I protect me”

Me, I gazed upon the languishing beauty

Me, my eyes met the dragons yellow-eyed stare

Stared into my soul, saw I was a ruin

Stared into my heart, saw I was wretched

Wretched cursed princess, the dragon?

Wretched as the princess waiting

Waiting and no one came so she grew tired

Waiting as she wrecks her vengeance

Vengeance because no hero is true

Vengeance, she can depend only on herself, no heroes

Hereo, the archetypal kind who abuse poor maidens

Heroe, is there such a man who ever existed?

Existed a hero she once did love

Existed her hero but he never came — she remains cursed

Cursed though she be, I could not destroy the beast

Cursed, she knows not why she is punished, cursed.

Beast but still a girl, so I left, ashamed I could not save her.

Cursed, she lingers on my mind, the maiden, the dragon as one

Poetry: Free Verse – “Woman On Fire” #amwriting #poetry

http://www.pinterest.com

———-

Animosity conspires within her belly,

Her reactions fast, lightening sparks.

She stalks through corridors and hallways,
Blood boiling, melting inner warmth of heart.

No one speak of  what’s right or the truth.

The bottom line — what is right or true,

Meant nothing when they used her.

And the fire flits through her system,

She’s wants to burn the world down,

What made a gentle song bird, claw back viciously?

The wrath of Maleficante, innocence stolen.

Now, the swagger of her hips,

Is a femme fatele arising,

Wingspan of dragon, breathing flames of fire.

Beating down the masses, burning pyres,

Magnificent rage multiplying.

Try to stop her, it’s in her being now.

Her heart is blazing flare of woe.

Be watchful and be wary,

Someone, something, hurt her fiendishly —

A soft woman breaks most brutally,

When her inner demons burn in wrath.

She’s diligent and mean — so lost,

All her love sprung and fled.

Appears as if she should be wimpering,

But when she talks her words scorch

Heavy smoke will make you cough and choke,

It’s a dense whirling mass,

That sends ruthless cowards to their knees.

Before fire can blister and raze you,

The smoke will leave you dying,

No breath of life in her has forgiven.

Don’t hurt a soft smart woman,

She’s most dangerous;

Because when her dams break open,

All hell leaks forth.

Demon woman, betting on retribution,

No absolution, no temperance,

They’ve flown away, murdered by spite.

A reckless beauty in pink, with pearls,

Diamonds changed for rubies, tinder red glare.

Her price for life is costly,

Sparked by a wreckless cause,

Anger building, layer open layer molds.

She’s become the wretched clouds,

Above the Valcono seething.

And sulphuric rain’s in her power,

No water to save and cool you,

From a dragons lair or breathe of flame.

Another way to die —

 Like she dies inside, daily,

Consumed by all her hatred;

Marked by vengeful ire.

She’s become her indignation,

She’s fury and resentment.

A witches pot brewing,

Antagonism, tears, and vexation.

She will set afire and raze her foe.

Dangerous and furious words,

Melting magma from stones.

She burns inside, and all that’s left —

Ashes killing, if exhaled.

Dust she compresses, from the barren world,

Her flame, herself broken once too often.

Wretched soft woman,

Destroying the world and herself.

That’s why kind gentle women,

Should never be screwed with,

Once destroyed —

They bring the world down with them.

He peeks at her below a baseball hat,

He’s plays with a match; he doesn’t even —

Realize he’s heading for the flames and —

He’ll be consumed by an inferno fast.

Her lips are scarlet sin, and she is —

Sucking back her whiskey; burning down —

Her soft white throat, it smokes and his gaze means–

He’s buying her next round, with Diet Coke.

Her eyes are amber flashes, synging with —

Coal black and thickened eyelashes; she is —

Fluttering at him; sulphurous voice sings.

Dissolving smoke; she’ll set fire rational.

(Any he had) until he’s choking ashy smoke —

Second -hand; a dangerous demon,

Sitting on his knee; his fantasy he —

Inhales and she’s blackening his weak heart.

She’s burning through his defence and he is–

Lusting for her skin; white ash torching within,

He’s never going to win; she’s hell —

Burning him for sin; passion ignited,

A red lighter starts the desire smoking.

She’ll go through him; like cigarettes lit,

Feeding her ire, her desire; he’s on trial.

Pointed heels lost, fire engine red toes peek,

He worships at her feet, and she consumes him.

She stands flames enveloping her; within her.

Enthralling curves and eyes seeing inside him,

Thawing out the cold; she’ll burn him down.

Raging inferno of heat, flames will kill him.

A pile of ashes she leaves in his stead.

Poem: NaPoWriMo 2016 – Lune – ” Leaving ”

Prompt:

Today, I challenge you to write a lune. This is a sort of English-language haiku. While the haiku is a three-line poem with a 5-7-5 syllable count, the lune is a three-line poem with a 5-3-5 syllable count. There’s also a variant based on word-count, instead of syllable count, where the poem still has three lines, but the first line has five words, the second line has three words, and the third line has five words again. Either kind will do, and you can write a one-lune poem, or write a poem consisting of multiple stanzas of lunes. Happy writing!

Please visit www.napowrimo.net for more information.

Peering your way advertent obscure,

Days have passed,

Shards of glass inside me.

——-

Why is sorrow so meaningless.

Make it better,

Hear me out; you refuse.

——-

Coupledome requires us both to,

Tell the truth,

Communication is key; so listen.

——-

Capricious games are not me,

I’m not playing,

Whatever joke you’re about today.

——-

Be serious, moments are fading,

I’m still waiting,

How many nights spent crying?

——-

Brokenness, requires feeling I think,

To care enough,

Feeling gutted and raw inside.

——

Thought we were supposed to,

Make our lives,

Lasting moments for each other.

——

Carelessness, you have no soul,

Once you loved,

Love has grown thin, cold.

—–

In Purgatory, if you believe,

What Catholics teach,

Frightening fire, burning soot reeks.

—–

Fire enthrals passion, makes heat.

But you’re ice,

Was there ever crackling flames?

—-

Again, convinced myself you were,

Healthy for me,

Should’ve kept searching and hoping.

—–

Now, I’m raw, inside out.

Sobbing mess living.

Making or breaking; I’m leaving.

—–

You don’t hear me leave,

It’s fine because —

You never saw me anyways.

Flash fiction for Aspiring Writers: “Demonic Beauty”

Enclosed in the bar, eyes magnify; temptress in red, silk sliding on skin.

Sway in her hips, a tease of the senses. Men breathless consent, adoring sin.

Striding with ease, heels ruby with diamonds. Naked shoulders shimmer, anticipating.

Treading softly, fallen in red fire, elusive, and beguiling; illusion of flames sating.

Moving her hips, licking cherry red lips; coal glimmer in demonic eyes.

Sensations burning, engulfs her body; seething, writhing, building her disguise,

A vestige of power; she’s the tyger enticing, an allusion to Eden, of poisonus lies.

Decisive, sauntering closer, flicking hair, tar-black as the ash before Lent.

Peer into eyes, a glimmer of gold, metal men grieve for; silence, fire scent.

A vision, a curse, a whisper in vain — animating, the instrument on stage,

Notes dance, music bleeding; breathing sweat, the melody of the enraged,

Fire rings, smoke engulfing; watch the woman despair, her voice entrances, beware–

Beauty enraged, a witch, incaged; performing she’s the beast, on stage no cares.

Poem: Life Lost

http://www.galmeetsglam.com

When life flickers out as a candle flame,

It’s easy to think that life is all in vain.

When life takes a turn you weren’t expecting,

It’s easy to go about the problem dissecting.

—–

We don’t get to choose when we die,

Life flickers, leaves are body with a sigh.

In the hands of the ultimate time keeper,

We throw up our hands and weep.

—–

It’s not our choice, it is not for us,

To see our futures, to know when we go to dust.

Every death is a shock; God help us if it’s not,

To end a journey on this earth is frought,

—–

With our bodies we trust, falling apart and breaking down.

It doesn’t mean we should lose all hope and frown,

We need to pray for grace, and wisdom in life.

To live our lives to the fullest the best way we can in constant strife.

—–

Please believe, if you have Faith in God and follow His ways,

You will see your loved ones in heaven some day,

Time apart will be minimal,

Time in heaven is subliminal.

—-

There is life, and there is hope don’t be scared,

Only consider we have so few years to be beared,

Earth is full of broken people with open hearts.

Fill up their hearts with prayers and let hope start.

Poem: “Rise Above It All”

http://www.gailbrenner.com

Fire and frost, polar opposites it seems. One scorches earth, the other freezes everything. Nothing rises up from ice, it keeps what is frozen hostage.

But like a Phoenix rises from a pile of embers and ash, people rise above the flame. They live and breathe to inhale tomorrow’s life.

And what of our scorched remains? We scatter our dead upon open seas, in graveyards, and they sit on the mantles above the fireplace.

When I die scatter me in the wind, of somewhere mythical and gorgeouse. Scatter my ashes in Edan; for a moment maybe the angel guardian will let you in.

For that angel, holds a sword with fire eternally. Perhaps, he’ll recognize a twin flame, a Phoenix, rebuilding, as you scatter me softly.

Maybe he is entranced by fire like you. Fire burns and hurts; a cool glass of water will quench an unbearable thirst. And turned to ice, water will make you unmovable at absolute zero.

But fire can burn through ice. It melts what is solid and still; let the rising of the firey bird begin. No ice will keep her captive. She is a survivor, the mistress of the flame.

She might burn you with her, but she’ll bring you back to life. When you wander streets in daylight and when you are at your absolute worst – you can rise out of the ashes.

You can be a Phoenix too, atleast in human terms. What bird once destroyed, is reborn in mythical elegance? If the Phoenix teaches you anything,  let it be — always rise above it all.

When everything is darkest, you are at your best– a Phoenix bursting into flame will light the path your footsteps should reflect.

And when the light grows dimmer and ashes are so still, let them lye. The Phoenix is not like us, her ashes need not be scattered.

She will arise a Queen undefined and undefiled. She is the victor of the battle in Hades. She rises and breaks through, she forges, and she fights.

She is a mythical powerful and glorific bird, red as the fire in which she burns. She overcomes and lives always, to rise above it all.

May you be like a Phoenix, don’t let life pull you down.May you rise out of the ashes of life an unquenchable fire.

Give everything your all; strengthen your character with wisdom. Learn to battle and to pick your fights for the Phoenix is always reborn; you die once.

And like anyone rich or poor you will end up in a box or urn. So, scatter me, scatter you, to the wind so we may burn and be reborn on the flights of rain, embers in a drop; a miracle formed.

Poem: “Light.”

What creature fears the light? And who

Would hide from having light shone,

A breathtaking brightness blare,

In open air the light gives birth,

It chases out the shadows.

It won’t let darkness win, it takes,

Away the black and horrible.

It creates a lit room, your soul,

With a sword of truth,  blaring,

Light comes to darkness winning,

Chasing out the demons, and with —

Brave sound acclamations brings,

Forth the bearer of candles —

Such a little flame can break the dark.

What dare does evil do but run and —

Find the deepest darkest hole

It is the only place left to–

Simmer in sulphur and live in,

Flame of the eternal death,

But light is opening up —

The cracks and sneaking past black,

It seeks to bring a peaceful,

Glow that no evil can ever fool,

Light in the darkness built worlds,

Our world, because in the start,

“There was the word and the word,

Was God, and the word, was with —

God. It was with him in the —

Begginning.” And light will always,

Defy, what is at heart deceitful,

Light is the strongest power I

Know, and in a world where I

See Christmas lights glow, I am —

Reminded there is always light.

Poetry: Firelight and Sunshine

Firelight and Sunshine

Words are as the fireflies dancing in the light.
They feed my soul and learn me, but I wonder if you like
The shimmering of fire in the dimming sky, as night takes on it’s darkness and daylight breathes it’s final spiral.
I wonder if you like to say so much at all because silence always greets me when we’re across the distance
When you are there, and I am here, separation anxiety appeares and grasps me round my bloodied heart.
Squeezes me, my heart hurts too much in this starry light to beat.
I see in you a future, I see in you the light, I see in you a story – you and me each night
But time is quick to wale on me to beat me into anger
There is always something wrong with us, when everything’s so right
Communication I don’t want to force it but it’s become a fight I fear. I lose, you always win.
Silent as those words that never cross your lips.
Don’t you want to know me and understand me better.
I’m just trying to see you in the fierce fire light.
You flame and blaze a clear heart beat.
But why are you so silent, that Im afraid you’ll disappear.
Because in the reality of darkness your the shadow of man making tracks to me – then running away as fast as feet will fly.
And I’m all into fireflies and words that make night glow
I see a sensuality in the right words whispered
I get to know someone by the actions that they take. That they meet their word with actions and do not simply disappear.
Make time for me the clock strikes faster, the hands will crack if they go any quicker
Beware my footsteps light as air, creeping through the lighted wood far far away…
You don’t care anymore or are you just unaware?
And I don’t know if you can love me sufficiently enough
My I love you’s go unmet with the emptiness of distance and days.
Connection always fueled by a little less passion a little more torment from you and I will scream, a careful porcelain shattered
Unless you can learn to use your words, to speak, to share, to state
We will finally break, shards of sunlight splintered.
