Poem: Shadorma – “Beauty Reveals All”

Thanks to The Daily Post for the prompt word Sing. Today’s poem will be a Shadorma. A Shadorma poem is a sestet with no set rhymes. But there is a syllable pattern of 3/5/3/3/7/5 in each sestet. Thank you to Manan and Rosema for information on this type of poetry. Check-out their Shadormas in their links provided.

Only when,

You see the proof will —

You believe.

You do not–

Believe inside; with your heart,

You’ve no vision there.

—–

I sing about,

A day when I will —

Finally–

Reveal all.

Maybe the day will never —

Come; maybe you’ll grow up.

—–

You can be —

Childlike and innocent,

Be young at —

Heart and laugh,

But you’ve a complicated–

Way of showing youth.

—-

You’re not young,

You’re older then mountains,

Crumbling,

You’ve gone soft,

There’s no back bone in your body,

Perhaps, you’re a snake.

But maybe,

This is only rage —

Passed down from,

All the years,

I’ve thought, what to sing,

Attractive face hides.

—–

Don’t you know,

It’s what I’ve learned from —

You and them.

A handsome —

Face, can mask, multitude of —

Sins; dishonesty.

—–

I’m not sure,

Who I will meet one —

Day; the liar?

Or a man,

Learn-ed from, mistakes in life;

Beauty sings, reveals.

When I’m feeling down and upset,

When life’s challenged me to forget,

I travel to the sea, waves aquamarine.

Bathing suite, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

On a beach  spending time rejuvenating, sleeping.

Better to vacation then let life overtake feelings.

——

Can’t allow life to depress you,

Work through it with waves blue,

Walkng shore, water washes away,

Stress and trial, giving free sway.

See you spend your time in the oceans water tumbling,

Carefree, smile returns, spirit glows, ire crumbling.

—–

So set your spirit free swimming,

See the sun on water glimmer.

Let the kids play with floating toys,

In shallow water laughing joy,

A beach day was all you needed to let go life’s pain.

When I’m feeling low, water aides, even merely, rain.

Poetry: She That Went Away

These words can’t be unsaid, she pondered over fourth cup of coffee.
They are the words that needed to be heard or else her thoughts would go round a Ferris wheel of phrases
Making her old, her mind as dusty parchment crumbling and from Rome
One touch to the parchment and the entire piece powders and falls a part
All knowledge of that particular subject lost in the spaces and edges existing in time.
It was about persuasion, the way she had to say it to form the words as curvatures connected like handwriting.
The staccato breath puffing from her lips, poison ivy to what needed to be said being told.
Awake my soul and sing, the things I mutter that cannot be unspoken, make them warm and lovely
Find a better way of saying – I’m going away and will not be returning.
Find a tangible way to express the moments of fragility this will leave everyone with.
The cold stab of words, oh yes words can hurt, the sharpest all the quicker.
And the phone rung a harsh ring in the phonetic tongue.
I cannot answer calls right now, for I have gone to Icarus and I cannot return.
I am lost to the sun it will burn my rapid wing span.
Some words can’t go unsaid, they must be told.
Regretted and mourned.
For that part of her life was over and only smiles remained.
The darkest hour turning to the blazing dawn as she admitted her most horrible fears and with them became one.
