Bad girls get things done, get what they want.

Girls with stone hearts, don’t hear mean taunts,

They’re invincible, wild; know how to flaunt.

You won’t get past their walls, their dauntless.

——

A little crack formed, stone heart releasing,

Her emotions unceasing —

Guilt claws inside of her, has no peace.

Demons of her past, screaming though deceased.

——

Raw heart brought forth, your her only love;

Needs to be redeemed –a sinner smudged

Thoughtless before; she needs her beloved.

Your criminal, she needs kid gloves.

—–

Tell her what to do and how to act now,

Not to be a defiant girl, too proud.

Forgive her drunken haze –parties loud,

Redeem your Criminal right now.

Redeem your Criminal right now.

Break on me.

Shatter Like Glass.

Come apart in my claws.

——

Your the best gal I know,

Surviving life is hard on us both,

No bugs to for us to eat,

The venom from the spider poisoned me,

I dig with my four claws,

Attempting to kill,

Then I wonder, what’s that peculiar smell?

—–

And I stood sentinel,

I missed our enemy coming,

Still looking around and peeping,

Half or gang is gone,

Now I’m the Meerkat outcast.

But your still my lady,

Cry your tears on my furry chest.

——

Break on Me.

Shatter Like Glass.

Come apart in my claws.

——

I’m glad I made you become my mate,

Sorry about those two pups of ours,

I’m sure there was something wrong with them,

Didn’t mean to let them be eaten,

Baby, you’re a fine Meerkat,

And if we live to nine or ten,

I’ll be a satisfied guy.

—–

I’ve been told survival of the fittest.

But I’m still alive,

You can depend on me,

I’m always there to forage for you,

But I’m banned from standing sentinal,

So, baby, maybe we can have more pups?

Lay your head against mine.

—-

Break on me.

Shatter Like Glass.

Come apart in my claws.

——

The chorus is mostly, lines from a Keith Urban song called, “Break on Me.” You can see the lyrics to his song here or watch his music video below:

Flash Fiction for the Purposeful Practitioner: The Yellow Brick Road

When you go down the yellow brick road,

And find yourself wandering off path,

Be aware that wherever you traverse,

They’re is more than merely witches in the wood,

—–

When you go down the yellow brick road,

And you see the road is turning to grass,

Remember if you keep on walking, they’re whispers,

Of creatures unseen by the common man.

——

When you go down the yellow brick road,

It is courageous to stop and take a forgotten path.

Be aware of danger, be ready to say, “enough is enough.”

While you traverse, seek the wise and avoid the wicked.

—–

When you go down the yellow brick road,

Be prepared there are worse horrors, than fangs, claws, and teeth.

You cannot go home in chucks; where are your ruby slippers?

When you walk this trail prepare yourself, the journey is merciless.

—–

When you go down the yellow brick road,

There is no one to ask for help, no enchantress with a wand.

No little dog to brighten your day, only you walking the barren road.

Darkness is everywhere and light is hours away.

Two Sentence Horror Challenge: The Hunt.

Her clawed hands ran over her face and body as she touched the textures of fur, sinew, and teeth. Sensitive hearing caught the echoes of humans hiking near by and she salivated, while razor sharp fangs and her muscled wolf body prepared to gorge on throats.
