——

Place I drift when life hurts, inspiring —

Ethereal dreamscapes adventures beguiling.

A magical place where the grass stands high,

Lush ’round my legs, where Gerber daisies spy.

Tipping towards the sun, technicolor,

Bright, inspiring, blue of sky discover.

A hole in the ground or Wonderland?

Pixie dust sparkling in my hair, Neverland?

Is this my own magic kingdom I’ve found?

Place my mind travels inspired profound.

Place I drift when life hurts, inspiring —

Ethereal dreamscapes adventures beguiling

——

A magical place where the grass stands high,

Lush ’round my legs, where Gerber daisies spy.

A hiding place where I often prefer,

Don’t search for me in my valley secure.

I’m riding raindrops, kissing the sun,

I’ve never had so much freedom or fun.

Gentlemen here, always decent and sweet,

A wink in their eye, naughty whispers keep.

They’ll treat a girl well, hold tight if she weeps,

And if you would like, they’ll love you to sleep.

Place I drift when life it hurts, inspiring —

Ethereal dreamscapes adventures beguiling.

——

Tipping towards the sun, technicolor,

Bright, inspiring, blue of sky discover.
Gerber daisies everywhere with roses,

Brilliant vivacity, colors exposed.

Pixies trailing their dust eternally,

Wings of lace light night, give hope certainly.

Everything’s first bloom, so never spurn,

This place humbles beautiful; with tears yearn

No contacts, surgery needed to peer,

With clarity of soul, all vision clears.

Place I drift when life it hurts, inspiring —

Ethereal dreamscapes adventures beguiling

——-

A hole in the ground or Wonderland?

Pixie dust sparkling in my hair, Neverland?
Here is my land, I’m caregiver among —

Faeries with animals exotic, young.
In their best-years forever, conversing —

Plainly; furry adore cuddles, nothing terse.

A tiger cub sits by me so befuddled,

When wolf pup becomes part of our den.

When I cheer because each word I’ve written —

Makes sense; stories flow unrestricted

A place I drift when life it hurts, inspiring —

Ethereal dreamscapes adventures beguiling

——

Is this my own magic kingdom I’ve found?

Place my mind travels inspired profound.
A comfortable place where I sit typing,

Art studio where brush strokes have foresight.

Friends visit often, chocolate’s water

No weight gained, eight squares a day should be sought.

Parties like Gatsby’s with flapper clothing,

Each night unique theme, we don’t bemoan.

As if we’re happy drunk with extra spunk,

Able to keep life in moderation’s trunk.

A place I drift when life it hurts, inspiring —

Ethereal dreamscapes adventures beguiling.

(Written Christmas Day)

Though times they change and we move on in life,

We cannot say at Christmas, we’re not blessed

Food to eat, fine company, we confess —

To much chocolate, many sweets, little strife;

Compared to the state of many a place ripe,

With destruction, death, such hate which festers

To much is wrong, but be at peace nonetheless.

His time draws near, have cheer; lasting hurt wiped.

Peace on earth, goodwill to all mankind, let’s —

Be kind to our neighbours and remember to share,

Life is tough, let no one be in despair

Let us share the good news, for He is born set —

Healing broken hearts and pains of the past bled,

Great physician who taught, love each other, care

The Storyteller’s Abode (Louise)

——–

Mister, you are lucky to walk your dog,

To have his companionship whether,

His attentions are unwanted or whether,

You need him to cuddle with while you blog.

——

Mister you’re lucky, your wife likes your dog,

That he loves her and protects her whether,

She’s mad he’s eating gross things, or there’s fur —

Needing to be vacuumed all around home, sob!

——

I, a boy, had a dog; she got too sick,

Vets tried to save her; she died with a lick.

Pets are as humans, we don’t know how long,

We’ll be here to love, bring cheer, give kisses.

When this boy, wants to pet your dog, let him.

Reminds him of his dog, brings joy too share.

Poem: Alouettes – “Star: Never Flicker Out” #amwriting #poetry

http://www.wildwoodcircle.com

———

My prayer for you is,

That you’re not a wisp,

Never a star flickering out.

That you shine boldly,

For what the years hold,

Pray you glimmer, bright, hot.

——–

Some lights end shortly,

May yours burn forte.

Be that diamond in the sky,

A jewel, valued highly.

Live your life, defy–

Limits, the odds; inspire.

——

Though sickness choke breath,

Though time steal your health.

Transform; the light, dazzling.

Take hold of our hands,

While we beg; understand,

Why our star’s unraveling.

——-

Surgery takes out,

Kills what darkness brought.

Shine on dear star; glow brave.

Save your light for strength.

Heal true at all lengths.

You’ll luminate soon; light saves.

—-

Shadows turn your gleam,

Black hole eats light’s beam.

The struggle for brilliance, pain.

You’ve got this dollie

God won’t let you stall.

Shooting star bright you’ll remain.

——

In all God’s glory,

He holds your story.

A star precious, with design.

You show fortitude,

A glib attitude.

Darling star falling, refined.

——

You’ve never been a wisp,

Effusive woman missed.

Pretty blond star, beauteous.

Vibrance, cheer; your gift,

Each visit uplift.

Never burn out, star bloom.

——

Live for millenias,

Prosper, wise light; will

Vivre; bold star falling.

Never flicker out,

Your battle cries shout.

Dear star blaze; for life brawling.

Poem: ” Not in the Moment.”

A midnight Christmas poem, to settle you to sleep after turkey dinners and children’s dreams. (A picture of a beach to encourage your own.)

At an hour the moon is magnificently full and round and never will be again for many years. Describe your perfect moment. (Can you see that beach?)

Describe now, what you want to accomplish in the coming year, pass your festive cheer and go on to new beginnings. (In Hawaii?)

Or, go a little easy on the nog or “special” punch so you can think in a half sensical state about what you would like your life to be as you persevere through the night.

You might never change a thing; your life could be exactly how it is in the moment you’re enjoying. Or maybe you would like to experience some changes … (In the surf on a sandy beach walking through tiny waves that lap at your feet.)

Life is full of the good and bad. And no time like Christmas to reflect, the bad ain’t so bad. We are all blessed in this respect.

To have a home, a life, a family, food to eat that is even sweet, and food that is healthful, the wine in your glass, the dog in your lap, and the child who is playing with his toy’s box. (To picture a warm place and learn how to surf…)

Life is pretty sweet but there is room to improve for everyone. I don’t mean to push. I don’t mean to shove. But I am looking ahead with a nod over my shoulder (– is that a shark in the water?)

I’m stuck in the midnight glower of a lamp light, composing poems on the night of Christmas, but I guess Christmas is no more soon. (But I still see a Hawaiin sunset…)

Soon we approach a New Year. Soon we say goodbye to 2015. Soon we drink champagne and dance the night away. Soon we have philosophical conversations at 3:00 am with the next holiday party. (Or sit calmly in a lovely cottage near the ocean?)

But stay, here in Christmas time and the birth of ‘Immanuel.’ Stay for a moment in the serenity of the night and swallow your last bit of nog or punch.( Beach …)

Think of your bubble, the charity and love. Despair of the relatives who won’t leave and the mess to clean. Pour another glass. Glug! Glug! Glug!

Midnight is passing and it means that I must sleep leaving you with merely a thought. What do you want in the coming year?

Beyond Boxing Day shopping. Beyond all the presents received. Beyond all the company. Beyond all the food and the drinks. Beyond the festivity, what more could there be. (A sunny warm place where you can lie on the beach.)

But there is always more and that’s the thing; we have so much and these little moments become precious memories that help us through the new when we look ahead and face problems and deficiencies.

Time passes on and the grand moon shines. A blaring light at my window and it is bright in the snow, calling to me softly. Where will you go?

That challenge I suppose waits for days to come in the passing of the year; for now still be of good cheer. Sleep soon. Hangovers get worse each year. (Hawaii is near.)

Poem: ” Wishful Thinking.”

Some celebrate the season with their loved —

Ones, Some celebrate with their dogs and cats.

Others seek solace in a church and they pray and they —

Sing, of a child born Christmas Day and they,

Remember that child died on a cross when–

He became a man and preached to the poor.

He healed the blind and the lame and he even,

Let Pharisees accuse Him of crimes he never,

Committed because he knew there was more,

Meaning in his death; as there was such joy,

At his birth. Where wisemen followed a star,

And Angels sang his glory, while his Young,

Mother Mary, treasured everything in,

Her heart and rejoiced that her baby would,

Save the human race and defeat death and,

The devil, so that we can all go to heaven.

And be free and eternal, finally perfect,

And praise God for that little baby forever.

But some don’t know that story, some only–

Know they have nothing to eat and that they,

Are spiritually weak because they can’t think,

Much beyond each day because they cannot,

See the light in the tunnel, they are suffering.

And thinking to far in advance would make,

Their eyes tear up with sorrows and they can’t,

Be weak if they are to survive the pain.

Some people are alone having lost their loved,

Ones, or they are living far away while,

Their family lives somewhere else and I hurt,

For the people who can’t celebrate with–

Utmost Joy, the birth of a Saviour and have,

The blessing of their family to support them.

It is Christmas time and as much as we,

Are all together, some people are close,

To falling apart because they cannot,

Be happy at Christmas, they have lost their,

Holiday cheer because bad things happen,

At Christmas too and it’s hard to be full–

Of joy, when you are hurting more then is,

Obvious to other people even;

Though you wish you could be a person,

With only thoughts of laughter and cheer.

Christmas Cheer

It’s done. The Christmas celebrations are over for this year. Not that I don’t love the celebrations but I find them exhausting too and I didn’t even do a good portion of the work to be done this year.

Christmas Eve my family prepared for the evening. I cleaned up the bathroom downstairs and my stuff in the living room. But that’s about all I could handle. I’ve been having trouble sleeping lately. I keep waking up btw 4:30 am to 5:30 am. Eventually I fall back to sleep but I wake up exhausted. It’s going to be about fine tuning my sleeping medication as it is every so often. So either I need more medication that helps me fall asleep or more medication that helps me stay asleep. I think I will go with increasing the Clonazapam which helps me stay asleep. I’ll try that tonight.

Anyways, at Christmas Eve my family went to church and then came home to eat appetizers and sweets. Later, we opened presents. Generally, I think I mostly received gift cards and money and I was happy with that. But I do miss having something to open up, even if it is just bath stuff.

This morning I helped a bit setting up for a Christmas Lunch at 1:30 pm. We had ham, perogies, spinach apple salad, green beans, cabbage rolls, and I believe that’s it. It was very good. My mom put a lot of work into dinner. I wish I’d been hungrier but I’m kind of glad I’ve trained myself to eat small portions especially during holiday meals. All the company left around 3 pm and now I’m here in blessed silence.

I’m still very tired but hoping to go Boxing Day shopping tomorrow early on to Kingsway. But my Mom might be too worn out to go tomorrow. Right now I’m watching a Christmas Tradition: The Muppet Christmas Carol. How great is that!

I went to see a rheumatologist before Christmas. He asked me a lot of questions and sent me for blood tests. Something was wrong so he sent for more tests. I’m curious what is wrong. I never had anything wrong before and they’ve done tons of testing on me since I first got sick years ago.

Oh well all in good time. Merry Christmas!
