Also, I know many of you are doing the A to Z Challenge for April. But if anyone’s interested in poetry, join me in National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo). A poem a day for 30 days. You can sign your blog up at www.napowrimo.net. Each day in April, return to the site for the daily poetry prompts and remember to link back to the website when you write your poems and to tag your work #NaPoWriMo so other bloggers can read your awesome poetry. Looking forward to reading everyone’s poetry takes. If you are REALLY up for the challenge combine NaPoWriMo with the A to Z Challenge 🙂

To see,

With clarity,

Minds are required to —

Be open to possibility.

All the relevant outcomes forecasted,

Made with thinking of calculated —

Risks; all aspects bad,

Or fortunate,

To see.

——-

Because,

Limited sight,

Costs lives, so we try —

To foresee what could occur.

What is likely to happen in certain —

Situations; or what won’t —

Occur; we attempt to —

See the future,

Because.

——

We live,

Blindly despite,

Attempts to know.

We can’t actually know;

As much as we make it seem,

As if we can configure potential,

But it’s all a fantastic lie.

We know nothing but —

Footsteps ahead,

We live.

——

Blindly,

Our sight fades for —

Physically our prime is —

Short; but we can see past —

Spiritually if only —

We choose to see, to look within and find,

Our immortality left,

After we pass on.

We try to see,

Blindly.

——-

In life,

We desire to —

Know what happens —

Next; can we stop our fears,

Trouble from taking place or should —

We leave it in God’s hands and let,

Our worry and painful burdens,

Be His to decide,

Thy Will Be Done,

In life.

—–

Three lights in the darkness, pitch black all ’round.

A night deep, the black ink deftly hiding,

Criminals, the lost, truly evil find.

Misdeeds better performed where every sound —

Is a nightmare calling, no justice found.

Unrevealed secrets proffered, ungrounded,

Realization of innocents expounding

Out here ‘neath stars, curse of night, hurt resides.

Three light in the darkness, pitch black all ’round.

—–

Three lights in the darkness, pitch black ’round,

Presence of luminescence, rats scatter .

Lights are strong, don’t flicker, they matter.

Bring attention to the wounded, those drowned

All their sorrows piling-up —burdens

Shine your light thrice, save them for certain.

Demonstrate there’s another way clattering

Sing songs of broken hearts; at last they’re found.

Three lights in the darkness, pitch black all ’round.

—–

Three lights in the darkness, pitch black all ’round.

Though we may fear darkness, here there’s no need,

As long as there’s light radiant, just heed.

Never let your fears overcome, light resounds,

Washes out creepersshadows; it centres.

Gives hope for tomorrow, transformed life mends

Malevolence abounds, stay grounded

Light always wins —brilliance all precedes.

Three lights in the darkness, pitch black all ’round.

My Thoughts

“Young and Beautiful” – Lana Del Rey

——-

Such a wish have humans,

For the fountain of youth.

Retaining our vivacity,
Twenty-something good-looks.

To maintain an image of fresh faces,

Yet carry the wisdom age gains.

I think if we knew anything,

We’d know it’s a curse to be young forever.

For all such wisdom acquired in life,

There’s a price to be paid.

Experience taught and it —

Marked us with age spots,

With wrinkles and scars,

With under eye circles,

Nightmares and inner trauma.

Journeying through life we learned

Our lesson, or perhaps we haven’t yet?

When we are young,

We are carefree and full of vigor.

Not thoughtful in how we think or react,

No maturity, no flash of pain;

The liberty of youth suits the young.

But to be a man or woman-child with —

The eyes of our great-grandparents,

Bearing several lifetimes of burdens;

I think, for a mere human,

Would be too much grief to bear.

For the older we become,

We learn from birth we’re dying.

Life is a quest and it’s meant to end

We’re meant for the heavens,

Free of our lifetime of issues

Emotional, psychological, and physical decay,

The exhaustion of life.

The old realize when their time is coming —

That it is right.

A lifetime of sorrows, to have so many years,

Would break a soul completely;

Nevermind a physical body.

That’s why the young are beautiful,

Life hasn’t wounded them.

They are too ignorant to see —

Life isn’t meant on earth to be eternity —

The light shining to restore body, soul, and mind,

In heaven shines for all,

In timelessness we will be young,

All of us appearing how we ought;

No imperfections,

Perfect creations.

Handling both knowledge and beauty,

Eloquent and graceful;

Gods children thankful

And only those who die young,

When life is torn by accident

By atrocity and ill health,

(And the aged)

Understand this concept.

As their grandparents did or do,

Only the ill and dying, have vantage of this,

Life is so frail;

A wisp of a veil torn,

We’re all too busy living to see.

My Thoughts, Relationship

Weights We Put On Ourselves

Sometimes I find that I find I am in a precarious position in life. That I do something or want to do something that is having a bad effect on me. I call these problems ‘weights’ we put on ourselves. Or another good term might be creating your own burdens to carry.

It took me weeks struggling with this problem, tempted one way and tempted another. Then finally, tempted, teased, and treated like I wasn’t even a person I realized that this thing I wanted was very bad for me. Isn’t that the way it goes we always want what what we shouldn’t. Or we ignore the little signs along the pathway telling us this is not the way to get what we want. That there are other and better methods and right now isn’t the right time or person. But this morning I finally made the right choice and it felt like a weight literally had been lifted off my shoulders. Sure, it was exciting being kind of bad but what I wanted would have hurt me and other people in my life. What I wanted could’ve scarred me for the remainder of my life or left me with a regrettable experience.

Other people don’t always know better. And they aren’t always who they appear to be. But I still can’t help feeling sorry for this person and praying for something better for them because they are walking around in darkness and they don’t even know it. They would tell me about all the bad people in the world but I didn’t know they were talking about themselves. In some ways I think they were talking more about how they view themselves because I caught glimpses of a helpful and non judgemental person beneath the meanness. And I’m pretty sure a slip of the tongue ( there tongue) made me see how mean this person could be, a slip that was a weakness they didn’t want exposed. So you separate yourself from impossible people even though they aren’t all bad.

You refocus your efforts on other people and other things that are a better fit for you and a better way to spend your time. Still I liked the good things about this person a lot, it’s too bad they weren’t a little nicer and looking for friends. It’s hard to meet people and make new friends these days.

Tonight I’m going on my pre Valentine’s dinner with A. We thought Valentine’s Day would be quite busy so we are going ahead of time. Hope your sweet hearts spoil you wherever and whomever they maybe.
