This isn’t real, I cannot feel,

Your lies are fine, don’t make it real.

Your words remind me what you did,

Your words hurt me within.

Keep your lies, no promises,

There’s no more compromises.

You don’t say it outloud, your lips sealed,

Numb inside, I’ll never fully heal.

—–

The music starts, covers silence,

I don’t want to hear your weak defence.

Broken promises shatter,

The shards so sharp scatter.

Didn’t mean the words you said,

I called you out and you fled.

Pretending you don’t hear me hence,

I’m leaving, no reprehending.

Poem: Minute – “Bestfriends and Lovers” #wordhighjuly #amwriting #poetry #kaulayau

———

Feeling peace; in my life you’re a balm.

My body is calm;

Mouth softly turns,

Together we learn.

———

Gazing in your eyes, reflecting.

Smile love inflects.

Your eyes gleaming,

Both us we dream.

——-

Magnatism, hands entwining,

Thoughtless combine.

Despite small fights,

We talk; no flight.

——–

Sometimes you need your space, and I mine.

Eyes know our signs.

Always meet each —

Other; hands reach.

——–

A gaze, a grin, our language known,

We both intone,

Stories we share,

Affectionate, care.

——-

Knowing each other; intimacy.

Made intricately,

Life together,

Us forever.

NaPoWriMo: Poem – Minor FT Creature – Minute – “Twittering”

And now, for our prompt (optional as always!) Just as Rosa Jamila’s poems often sound like they come out of a myth or fairy tale (and not always one with a happy ending), today I challenge you to write a poem in the voice of minor character from a fairy tale or myth. Instead of writing from the point of view of Cinderella, write from the point of view of the mouse who got turned into a coachman. Instead of writing from the point of view of Orpheus or Eurydice, write from the point of view of one of the shades in Hades who watched Eurydice leave and then come back. Happy writing!

For more information please see NaPoWriMo

The bird who sings melodically posed,

Twitter exposed,

Singing with notes,

Snow White songs wrote.

—-

Voice of angel, bird sings lyrics,

Fly spherical,

No matter when,

Melodies send.

—-

Eating crisp red apple, evil hag gives,

Her eyes wide strive,

Eat not apple,

Eve’s own pupil.

—–

Dimly lit girl, breath of life left her,

Creatures of fur,

Point to a Prince

This Prince, I wince.

—–

A bird, Snow calls, tweets melodies.

Kiss. Two lovelies.

All well, I’ve heard.

Stop calling birds.

—–

A birds, not just harmony.

Mates eventually,

Songs for blue eggs,

Snow White she begs —

—-

Let the birds be free,

You’ve no need of our twittering.

Look online now,

Our page is overpopulated.

Poem: Minute (no rhyme) – “Going to Travel”

Don’t say where I cannot go to,

I’m more then I,

Appear to be,

Don’t be fooled.

—–

Why couldn’t you be supportive and,

Believe that I,

Could do it on,

My own, two feet.

——

I look up to you and you don’t see,

There are some things,

You have to do,

You can’t have fear.

——–

Why let your fears control you,

Don’t walk away,

Support me now,

Your guilty voice.

——-

Can’t see that, I can be alone,

I’ve heard the fire,

In the wind it,

Calls me — travel.

Poem: Minute – ” The Same”

Thanks to the Daily Prompt for the word prompt contrast.

—–

Colours contrast, art and design;

Red, green –resign.

Orange,blue–engage.

Purple, yellow — wage.

—-

Entirety of contrast beams,

Nature can seem,

All opposite,

Mother Earth split.

—-

People, studied in contrasts too.

Different, you?

Just be human.

In that the same.

Poem: Minute – These Days

00004A290FD4.C0A801BA.000079A7.0015

There are days I cannot stop, I fly —

Hear me I sigh.

Look I’m so sore.

Wait for an encore.

—-

There are waters I cannot swim,

Dip my toes in,

The water is fine.

So I dive in.

—–

My body needs sleep and dreams

Funny how it seems,

I cannot win.

But each day I grin.

—-

The New Year brings so much with it

Can’t catch a drift.

Need to write more

Until my soul soars.

I hate that you won’t wait to see,

All that is me,

All that I dream,

The way I seem.

We’re going at a speed I can’t chance,

It’s not a dance,

This is real life,

Why leave me strife.

I want to dream fantastically,

Histarically,

Is it a ruin?

Live in light strewn.
