#November Notes Day 5/Saturday Mix: Poem – Alouette – “Feeling Brilliant” #amwriting #poetry #saturdaymix

For Day 5 the November Notes song is “UnBreakable Smile” by Tori Kelly. I’m combining the prompt with Sarah of MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie Saturday Mix Prompt on using words that are opposing forces. The opposing words this week are “broad and narrow” and “funny and serious.” Alouette poems have a meter of 5, 5, 7, 5, 5,7, and the rhyme scheme matches accordingly with an a, a, b, c , c , b pattern.

“UnBreakable Smile” by Tori Kelly

Happiness it lives,

My hope still revives.

You’ll never be the person —

Breaking me; I’m fine,

I️ am not defined —

By you; life has just begun.

—-

You’ll never break me,

I’m full of thoughts pleased,

My UnBreakable —

Smile’s never shaken.

I’ve broad happiness, it’s free.

——

You’ll never narrow

My hardy marrow.

I’ve great peacefulness,

You’ll not be hurting —

Me; I’m free to be,

Even in pain, I’ve gladness.

——

My smile is one that —

Won’t ever flatten.

Possibility gives hope,

No funny stuff I’ve —

Ignored your decline,

No more mind games, you’re a joke.

——

Take this serious,

I’m delirious

Beaming my UnBreakable —

Smile; one from my heart.

It won’t soon depart,

I’m my best, unshakeable.

—–

Happiness is —

A life without his,

Words that hurt, I’m shatterproof;

I’ve strength blooming fast —

I’m a real class act;

Healing from your aloofness.

—-

UnBreakable me,

Unshakeable me.

Your gone so my smile’s brilliant,

The shadows are long —

Past; life’s long moved on,

Now I’m stronger resilient.

——

I’m blessed to be me,

Having learnt to slowly,

Stand up for yourself don’t let —

No one control you,

Ask God to love you.

True love is without regrets.

Saturday Mix: Poem – Alouette – ” Waterways, Rubies, and Light”  #saturdaymix #poetry #dVerse

Thanks to Sarah of Weejars on MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie for hosting Saturday Mix. Here theme as ben homophones and this week’s homephones are: straight – not crooked, strait – narrow waterway, and discussed – talked about, and disgust – sickening. I’m combining Sarah’s Prompt with Lillian from #dVerse Poet’s Pub birthstone Prompt. My birthstone or a ruby from July.

——

—-

Roads aren’t all straight

They’ve crooked places.

Thin trails where water travels,

Areas you trip, fall.

Afraid to be mauled,

Waterways fast cause rabble.

—-

Trapped at a strait

Sharp-toothed bears await,

For you to give in and cry;

Say, “Life isn’t fair,

And you weren’t aware,

Of suffering,” safety’s lie.

——

Waters bring life, save,

They can also enslave

Us within straits to suffering,

You’ll drink fresh water,

You’ll can drown, falter.

But often, whirlpool’s they bluff

——

Your mind discusses

Escapes; swim through roughs.

Don’t permit whirlpool’s giant waves —

Their narrow streams ire.

Hard days don’t linger,

Swim for your life, you’ll escape

——

Many times we see,

What we think, believe —

Is an end, ’cause beginnings —

They disguise themselves,

Self disgust us tells.

We’ve not an ending, so swim.

——-

We can fight despite,

Life’s times of great spite.

We are survivors living,

To see another year.

Monthly birthstone here —

Once more; rubies mark swimming —

—–

Through, surviving dark.

Bright vivid lights hark.

Another year not unfulfilled.

A year we that we thrived,

Sadness subsiding.

With Ruby’s energy, strong will.

——–

Tres on through life’s thin,

Narrow straits to swim,

In glorious lakes and oceans.

In heat of hot springs.

As life always brings —

Light; healing not to bemoan.

——

——–We sit at home eat,

Soft pasta with meat.

Mama taught me to make food.

I was a child small,

She yelled and she called —

Me  — incapable and rude.

——

They weren’t angry words.

But words of fear learned.

Didn’t want to test Papa,

She wanted perfect,

He wanted perfect.

None desired his open hand.

—–

At such a thing as,

Messed up pasta.

A girl couldn’t help, she learned —

To make it right or —

Face rage for bad food.

Mistakes, not to make, she yearned.

——

But no one’s perfect,

And she preferred.

To leave home with her husband.

With two small children,

Became immigrants.

Living with hope in new land.

—–

Shops in a district,

Cultural foods listed.

Buys groceries for family.

As do her neighbours.

Here are diverse words.

By leaps she sees life expands.

——-

The whole family’s glad,

No one’s smacked or mad.

Homeland missed but no regrets.

She holds her baby,

Of two, to her face.

Smiles and says, “I’ve no regrets.”

—–

Her child won’t have to —

Cook or be perfect.

Or be slapped to the floor,

 By Grandpa who thought,

It’s how girl’s learned; not

That his hands bruised and abused.

——

” . . .Don’t get to close its dark inside. It’s where my demons hide, it’s where my demons hide” – “Demons” by Imagine Dragon

——-

They’re people we meet,

In them darkness keeps.

A veil over haunted eyes,

Something telling weighs,

Light badly betrays;

Shadows lift, they’re undisguised

—–

Putting on a face,

Something’s hidden; pace —

Steadily, you’re caught thinking.

Truth can be harmful,

Darkness it swarms.

Seeming ruse has us shrinking.

——

To start, talk awhile;

Some demons revile

Other darkness isn’t asked for it’s,

Unfairly gifted,

Souls broken, shifted;

Waiting for light at home lit.

——-

No one is so lost,

They can’t be reformed.

Shadows hold tightly, a hand —

Gives hope in the dark,

Heals bruising black marks.

Keep helping, say: “Here’s my hand.”

—–

Though darkness found can —

Be fearful, programmed,

In those with no conscience led;

Most people are sought,

It happens a lot;

We’re trapped in nightmares dread

—–

But the light of hope,

In dawn always glows

Derelict souls need help, change,

Is possible;

Not impossible.

Leave no one entrapped; estranged.

—–

She’s only twelve, bright —

The only girl separate from,

Her brothers four.

Parents her adore,

Their last child, girl comes,

For Mom she’s a sight.

—-

A surprise one spring;

Thought there’d be no more kids born.

They so much wanted,

Girl so undaunted;

By elder brothers‘ scorn.

Bird fluttering wings.

—–

She laughs so cheery,

Going about her day, she’s teased

By family with love.

Animals adore,

She’s the darling who pleases,

Makes life less dreary.

—-

Out feeding horses,

Then, rides with such glee calling,

Her dogs following.

Danger in shallows,

Ocean so near, tumbles, falls;

Swims smart, resourceful!

—–

Into warm arms pulled,

Mom near lost her dear, her pearl.

Dad is so wrathful,

She wasn’t thoughtful

And where were her brothers? She —

Was grounded some.

—–

Didn’t think enough;

She’s safe, all is well, she’s hugged,

Held close by her Mom,

Told, “Be careful hon!”

You’d be missed, you’re much loved.

Mom again gives hug.

—–

She’s happy again.

Learned she’s human, as others.

Preteens can die too.

Better to ride through —

Ocean waves, with friends, brothers.

So life it remains

Poem: Alouette – “The Past Dying”

womanmulticolourface

To you who chips at

My heart who just sat,

With your friends drinking coffee,

Not paying notice,

I guess I’m not quote:

‘A girl who cares you’re lofty.’

*****

I’m not a step near,

For you to but snear.

My presence unwanted your,

Affect forever,

Something severed.

Piece of me died you deploring.

*****

Not all experiences,

Are helpful; hence,

They’re moments disregarding,

All I’ve learned,

Thoughts which make me squirm,

My insides, wretched, I’m left scarred.

*****

You don’t feel so wrong,

Moving to your own song.

Admitting it was about looks,

How attractive you were,

I the ‘disturbed‘ girl.

Went home; didn’t return took –

*****

Other roads, castles

Of sand, no hassle.

I’ve nothing from you I want.

You’re but old history,

Learning experience stripped.

Walking my paths, undaunted.

*****

You’ve gone, gone gone; I’m —

Just swell; days ‘neath time,

Never fully heal, but let —

Old days die in past,

Wither at a glance.

Survivor, blessed delighter.

*****

November Notes: Poem – Day 25 – Alouette (Audio) – “Game of Dark”

Today’s prompt song is “Up in Flames” by Ruelle.

——–

                    .                                              In shadows we dwell,

Moonlit private hell.

We disappear into edges,

Into the places dark,

Our lives are no lark.

We’re left standing, our bets hedged.

The darkness is cold,

We draw warmth, we fold.

Ourselves neatly into corners,

Existing in pitch black,

Our dimness won’t crack.

Light cannot break in, you’re warned.

Our hearts are blackest,

Survival is our knack.

Glass city, shimmers, breaks apart,

We’re a stronger ilk,

Sliding through night, silk.

As the world sets afire hearts.

Right and wrong confused,

Caught in self-abuse.

Night beckons us to creep, to find,

Paths leading out as,

It all goes up, has —

Been singed, burned, no mere kindness.

We survive the dark,

We survive the mark.

When it all goes up in flames,

We’re last to remain,

We’re last, but insane.

Learning a sadistic game.

#OctPoWriMo – Day 25 –  Alouette – “Insatiable Red”

Day 25 Prompt: Red
“When I was growing up I extremely disliked the color red, not sure if the fact I had red hair had anything to do with it or not. It wasn’t until a few years back that I started to enjoy red and now I love it. I completely embrace red! How about you? Love it? Hate it? Don’t feel anything about it? I have always enjoyed big red barns though, I think it is because my great grandparents lived/owned/worked on their ranch with a big red barn and farmhouse. I loved having family gatherings out there.”

“Red” – Taylor Swift

Too bright hurts my eyes, 👀

Step-back, blinded by —

Red; the colour kindly few like.

Forceful, seductive, 💋

Not for reluctant.

It’s sunsets with the fall of leaves bright. 🌅

Maple trees red sigh,  🍁

And red eyes crying.  😭

Mighty power, red does lend.💰

Most sold lipstick —red; 👄

Classic colour said;

Cadillacs, Mercedes Benz.  🚗

Royal, wealth of land,  👑

Expensive dye’s hand —

Made scarlet; a king’s fine robes. 🔱

Privilege, money. 💰

Repulsive, funny,

Never liked, but on my toes. 👣

Women opt for red

Cooler; warmer red

Men’s own own chosen taste;  💪

Brilliant red, sexy; 💋

Elegant, regal, next. 👑

Amount changes, moods, tastes.

Trashy women in —

Sultry plastic.

Grace of love felt; most fav shoes. 👠 👗

Naughty and nice, 👍

Santa and Christmas; 🎄

Lights saying stop, you’ll lose.

Curious colour,

Loved or hated fleur.

Rose, hibiscus, poinsettias. 🌹

Different meanings,

Red fleurs, never seen; 🌹

Dancers doing flamenco. 💃🏼

For myself I think,

Preference for pink. 💗

A tint of red, more like me.

A bit of lipstick. 💄

If I must wear it.

Sport’s teams, and broken heart’s pleas. 💔

Music Challenge: Poem – Alouette – “Stars and Airplanes Fall”

Thanks to MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie for hosting the music challenge each Friday.Today’s Music Prompt is the song: “Airplanes” by B.o.B. featuring Hayley Williams and Eminem.

“Airplanes” – B.o.B

shooting-star
http://www.wallpaperswide.com

Stars don’t fly tonight,

Can’t help win my fight.

Wishing on a star for hope.

Instead I find I’m caught,

‘Neath black sky, dreams rot.

With airplanes, I cope.

Dreaming on airplanes,

Drive myself insane.

I only wanted hopes for real.

I only wanted aid,

Encourage me, don’t blame.

Airplane shooting star; dream seal.

Such a black starless —

Night with dreams a mess.

 I can’t wish for dreams,

Have to fight their sheen.

Lights promising everything.

When truly, they give nothing.

I’m glad I only see —

Airplanes, I’m not on —

A flight, soaring into night.

Shooting stars they crash.

Airplanes fall; they crash,

Taking humans who lose sight.

Never do I want,

Plans to crash –to haunt.

I’m afraid, like stars, they are —

Become black holes that —

Are vacuums, no switch,

For off; destroy life too fast –far.

Find a star, wish long,

And wish hard, there is —

Hope in the distance calling,

Like the promise of lights —

Leading us with foresight.

Wishing star work, stop falling.

Poem: Alouette – “Murderer” #amwriting #poetry #poison

Thanks to Poets United for the poetry prompt: Predator and Prey.

——-

http://www.quotesgram.com

——-

Loved being your girl,

But, done with this world.

Preyed on, murdered viciously.

Hunted, forcibly;

Caught, controllably.

Trapped in sucking quick-sand.

——-

Stuck in thought in —

My head; beg within,

Is this the end?  You and —

I, are no more to —

Be; merely, see -through,

Another couple out of hand.

——

My skin is white, pale.

I’m not cold, don’t wail.

Hours ago, you poisoned me,

I fell asleep no —

Pain; not yours, dead though.

Hate seethed through you, love which bleeds.

—–

When did it leave us?

Love, affection, trust?

Did you become predator

When he looked at me?

He’s vapour; Freely —

Loved you; your prey; died with gore.

——

But I’m above clouds,

Mistakes by cowards.

Shutting you out, I never

Ingrained hurtful pain,

Inside your body; lame —

Excuses, you’re a murderer.
