Sometimes the wind breathes,

Breathes life into —

Desperate lungs, verdant life respiring.

*****

She rolls slow; I’m humming,

Childhood rhymes as,

She breathes sunsets through me.

*****

We inhale, exhale; singing tunes,

Sunlight cools; dusk’s —

Cotton-candy clouds float hope.

  1. this was a beautiful write on the prompt, about the wind and how it is a force flowing round and through us, a very different approach, using the not so obvious in the photo as the subject to drive the story forward
