———-

Sacrificial,

Abates fear;

Men’s physical force.

Unevocative kisses.

***

Few nights,

But kissing you,

Matter.

***

Mouths collide,

Hands seek skin.

Nipping lips,

Electric storms —

Ignite.

Lips feather —

Eyelids.

Tasting earlobes,

 “Losing Control.”

Desperate kisses,

Bonfire roars.

Bouncer reminds,

“Closing time.”

Torrent of fervor.

Fearful of never,

Experiencing,

Blood- rushing

Glory again

    1. True story Frank. I had to cut it, but I was about 20 when this happened. University girls in general who go to the bar and drink too much, have many meaningless kisses or more (guys too). It was a shock, a wonderful surprise to meet a guy (friend of a friend) who it meant something to kiss who I liked talking to and enjoyed seeing him when we at the same place, bar or school. It didn’t happen often and nothing came of it. But it’s hope at least that there are good guys out there and there is desire/emotion, more than meaningless drunk kisses.
Attraction and the hint of more. And yes indeed, in a large sense, the bouncer was the end, and the fear of never.
      Thanks to reading!

    1. Thanks Victoria. I’m a huge fan of the quadrille since I started doing the dVerse quadrille prompts. It’s very fun & interesting to choose the specific words and ensure they’re the right words. If I’m lucky after the first draft I have around 60 words to cut from. Days like today a had 110 words to cut from but I was very happy with the final versions. Happy u liked the shape.
