“What made you think we were going to fit your couch in our condo?” Eve asked Grant.

“Well Eve, I can explain.”

“I told you before, your couch will not fit through the front door. It won’t fit in the elevator either.”

Grant sighed and rubbed his eyes, ” It’s just, he’s been through everything with me. I could never leave him behind. He’s my lucky charm and I’ll curse my favourite sport’s teams if I leave him.”

Eve laughed, “Leaving ‘him‘ will curse your sport’s teams, huh? Do your buddies outside, below the patio think so? They’re the ones who’re having to get your couch or ‘him‘ to the third floor balcony?”

“Errr. . .well, they know about Oscar,” Grant mumbled.

“Oscar?”

“Well, Eve it’s not my couch we’ve been moving, it’s my pet elephant. He’s gotten so big now, we had to haul him up through the patio door.”

Eve’s mouth gaped, “We’re talking about the proverbial elephant in the room, your couch right? I don’t see it up here.”

“Look behind you,” Grant muttered. Oscar the half-grown elephant trumpeted happily squealing behind Eve.

Grant’s fiancée squealed for a different reason.

I actually have done the couch through the balcony with ropes trick. Not the elephant.. And I thought I had some looks at what I was doing… Nicely done darling

Thank you Mark. I’m impressed you did the couch, it seems like it would be very difficult. I wonder how many tons mid-size elephants are? Lol. Have a good day 😀😊

It was like a Highwire act at the circus. It was only my couch the first time. 🙂

Meh, I’m sure they play their music too loud or something, so they can’t complain. I haven’t figured out how to get Oscar back out of the condo though. They can’t bring in a mini front end loader and haul him out every time he needs to go take wee. Lol. Thank you Ian 🙂

LOL! An elephant is certainly not a couch! I’m surprised they could get an elephant through the front door! Haha! Cute story, Mandi!

Thank you PJ. Not through the the front door or even the elevator, they had to hull him up over the balcony and through the patio doorway, which I assume would have to have the door removed. Oscar is big but still a baby elephant, so not too huge — still very heavy I would think.

LOL! Good thing they could get him inside. I sure wouldn’t want to have to deal with elephant sized poop! Haha!

I know so much to think about having that large of pet. Maybe one bedroom (the office) is a giant litter box, or that’s what the patio is used for. I’d imagine you’d have to clean it up right way. Now I’m thinking, Eve’s fiancé didn’t think this through at all! Enjoy your weekend 🙂

Hahahaha! I think I would make the patio the big litter box. LOL!

Yes, I think so. Hopefully. Whoever built the patio made it properly.
