Day 7 Prompt: Tasty

“Free write for ten minutes around the word tasty, try some word association, where does it lead – To a memory as a child with the first bite to your favorite food? To a moment when you cooked your first meal? Dig deep and allow your words to flow.”

Delicacies on my lips land,

Smoothly sumptuous ambrosia.

Chocolate soft inside so rich, not bland.

Sweet, dark sensuous aroma.

—-

Moist soft cake, creamy center grand.

Icing with cocoa, melts just so,

Delicacies on my lips land,

Smoothly sumptuous ambrosia.

—-

Chocolate intense taste I understand,

Crumbs of cake near mouth, eating slow.

One more bite, save for tomorrow,

Devoured, pleasure sweet, on hand.

Delicacies on my lips land.

Mmm, tasty. I wrote about cake, too. Your verse is more scrumptious. I’m going to look for chocolate cake over the weekend. Delicious work. Amanda!

Haha. Glad the descriptions made you hungry. That sensory perception was my aim. Hope you can find some chocolate cake now 🙂 Thanks so much for your comment Melinda.

You’re welcome 🙂 I had a piece of a dark chocolate and that satisfied the craving. 86% dark chocolate kills all cravings 🙂

Me too 🙂 It’s so decadent. I don’t know how anyone can eat the watered down versions called ‘milk chocolate’

I like it sometimes if it’s the good stuff. We have a chocolate shop called Purdy’s in Canada — everything is good there. But have to agree even there, dark chocolate is much tastier, plus less calories and better for you.

Yes! Dark chocolate is divine! If I am ever in Canada, I would love to visit that chocolate shop.
