    1. Hehe. You are not plus size. I’m curvy too. Many of those stores go to size 12,14, 16 US. Dynamite fits a smaller but they have L, XL in many pieces.

Maybe, where you live the sizing is smaller? I know in Hong Kong I have a friend from high school, who said she always had trouble because she was bigger up top and the Chinese sizing, didn’t fit her. Yet in the US or Canada she was a L or XL. I think Le Chateau for sure goes to XXL even in dresses and shirts and have begun making sizes bigger in pants/skirts. Even having a plus size model I their advertising.

My Mom says it’s a difference sometimes of “miss” sizing and “regular ladies” sizing. She used to sew her own clothes so she’s quite knowledgable about these things.

Women have curves, are filled out, but “miss” sizing is for skinny young girls in junior high, high school/university.

Unfortunately, sometimes the fashion industry doesn’t realize grown women like to dress in those cute “fad or trendy” items that “miss” sizing often seems to have. Or that younger girls don’t always fit the “miss” sizing to begin with.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your week Rosema 💕🌺🙏🏻

      1. YAY! You surely know what you’re saying dear Mandi! How I wish my mom can sew too! HAHA. I’ve been struggling in terms of fashion. First, I have limited or almost no budget. Second, dresses that will fit me are mostly signature dresses (foreign brands) which cost a LOOOT! So I opt receiving hand me down from my rich aunt and cousin. Those are my most decent dresses. 😀

      2. I can see how nice hand me downs of good dress clothes which would suit work, would be better. But I think it’s sad when any place, doesn’t make clothes that are nice for all types of bodies.

My Mom learned how to sew because she couldn’t afford clothes from the store. I remember her sewing us winter coats and snow pants even as kids. She learned in home-economics in junior high to sew.

My brother actually, is pretty good at sewing he made himself a beautiful fitted wool coat. He made it lined so it would be better for winter and even had this lovely purple lining inside his coat. I was impressed, his coat was a better quality than most expensive clothes are.

I don’t know what stores would be the same in North America, as the Philippines. I thought perhaps, FOREVER 21 or H&M? On a small budget those stores would have bigger sizes and aren’t expensive, if u ever want to treat yourself. But on the other hand, I understand you have a lot of financial obligation with your sister in university and helping your family.

Sorry, wish I could help you more. I hope your cousins actually give you nice hand me downs.

      3. Oh thank you for sharing some of your family’s story with me. How I really wish anyone from mine can sew too! HAHA. Yes, Forever 21 and H&M are here. Forever 21 is actually so expensive. H&M not so much. But yes, you kind of figured that I have no spare budget for myself yet. HAHA. But don’t worry. 😉 I am not sad. I learned how to be contented and what I have now and believe that this too shall pass. 😉
        Thanks, dear Mandi!
