Thanks to Nortina for hosting Moral Monday’s. This weeks moral is: “Judge Not, Lest You Be Judged.”

“What’s wrong with her?” Kara said, watching her former BFF Darla open her locker.

“Yeah I know. She’s doesn’t care about her appearance anymore. ” Madeline added.

“We’re all best friends since sixth-grade. Darla used to dress well and wear makeup. She didn’t used to ignore us on her phone, or when we tried to visit.” Kara said miffed.

Darla looked up: “I can hear everything you guys are saying. My family died and you didn’t help me. You talked behind my back and spread rumors. They’re never coming back. Don’t you understand? You deserted me too.”

Poem: Lunes – “Nature’s Rule.”

Today’s Poetry 101 prompt is landscape with apostrophe (directed to a specific person or an object).

Mother nature

Something about blazing summer warmth,

You can experience,

Deep peace, through your bones.

Sun shimmering down on home.

And I appreciate,

Your magnificent view surrounding us.

Some call you Mother Earth,

Others say Gaia,

Some say you’re only Nature.

Queen of fresh bustling growth.

Flowers bursting forth,

With blooms; fruit maturing later.

Grandiose bites of peaches sticky,

Dribbling down my —

Chin; gifts provided, by nature.

Leaves crispy, flourishing, growth budding.

Sky alive pours.

Increasing farmer’s yield; harvest amplifying.

The world turns and you answer.

Seasons in exact,

Moment of time revealed true.

You magnificent lady; dancing in —

Summer’s dreaming months,

You tease; before snow sprinkles.

Gigantic mountains, shifting in time,

You allow them,

Crash, crush, erupt; tectonic formations.

Baby animals; fuzzy and adored.

Their seasons pass.

Time taking back; new born.

Eyes scanning the vastness of,

Your empire; nature,

Praying we don’t interfere; destroy.

Asking Creator for peace, grace.

Don’t let humans,

Ruin earth; mother nature’s domain.

Poem: Haikus – ” Two Can Keep A Secret, If One of Us Is Dead.”

Just playing around in this poetry piece. I started from the beginning, watching Pretty Little Liars on Netflix. What first struck me on the second episode, was the theme song by The Pierces. It had such beautiful poetry and was catchy, so I had to play with it in my writing.

“Secrets” – The Pierces (Music Video)

“Got a secret
Can you keep it?
Swear this one you’ll save
Better lock it in your pocket
Taking this one to the grave
If I show you then I know you won’t tell what I said
‘Cause two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.”

The Pierces – “Secrets”

Beneath covert layers,

Hidden, you devise, secrets.

Ones you shouldn’t tell.

If your secrets are deadly,

Your playing games with our lives,

Let your sweet lies lay.

The business of obscurity,

Mask those secrets, don’t tell me,

Hidden truths veiled well.

“Got a secret
Can you keep it?
Swear this one you’ll save
Better lock it in your pocket
Taking this one to the grave
If I show you then I know you won’t tell what I said
‘Cause two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.”

Hands over my ears, disappear,

Your corrupt ideals, hurt us all.

Close your mouth, don’t talk.

Duck-tape your lips closed tight,

Reveal nothing, sinister girl,

Secrets for the grave.

Don’t enlighten with dishonesty,

Don’t share what you said you’d keep,

Telling truths ends dead.

“Got a secret
Can you keep it?
Swear this one you’ll save
Better lock it in your pocket
Taking this one to the grave
If I show you then I know you won’t tell what I said
‘Cause two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.”

Your lips move, I hear nothing,

I’m bent on staying out this time,

Your secrets hurt, kill.

A burden you say you must,

Share with me, release venom,

Keep your poison locked.

I’ve closed my door; shut you out,

I have my own secrets but,

Those I never tell.

“Got a secret
Can you keep it?
Swear this one you’ll save
Better lock it in your pocket
Taking this one to the grave
If I show you then I know you won’t tell what I said
‘Cause two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.”

Poem: Tankas – ” Beyond Fondness” #wordhighjuly #poetry #tankas #amwriting

——–

http://www.pinterest.com

——–

Humaling, fondness.

Of extreme quality,

Fond for certain friends.

Caring, great deal for family.

Beloved Aunt; Grandma, niece.

——-

Searching deeper seems,

Such fondness as humaling.

Means fondness further.

Not merely affection heartfelt,

Special love given, which is free.

——-

Not feelings, fondness —

For your relations or friends.

Humaling, loving,

Your other half, their presence.

Emotions driving deep love.

——

True love; which locks two.

A mysterious connection felt,

Never the same with —

Anyone ever existing.

Causing heart beats so in sink.

—–

Time may alter love.

Authentic love, means no limits.

Makes you speechless, soft.

Sore secrets in open air.

Your lover, a bearer of your strife.

——

You know their secrets.

Share in joys and sorrow too.

Extreme fondness hurts.

It’s beneath the surface shown,

Hurts and trials woven with love.

——

Release one thread; help —

Your kindred spirit, beloved.

Sleep not in anger.

Satisfied; in love ’til death.

Not only fondness; in love.

——-

Your piece of puzzle,

Missing until a fated,

Day; you find them lost.

Together complete a circle,

Forever, love beyond bliss.
