Sunday Photo Fiction: A Dangerous Drive

“Where are we Joline?” James asked his wife. Joline rolled her eyes.

“Look, James. Just because you drive most of the time when we’re in the car together, doesn’t mean I’m not a skilled driver.” James appeared skeptical.

“Well, we’ve been stuck in traffic a long time. Maybe we should find a better route?” Joline cast James a withering look.

“It’s Portland and it’s rush hour traffic. I’m following the route the GPS is telling me to take.” James sighed. He was about to say something when their car was rammed from behind.

“Are you kidding me?” James complained. “This is a Mercedes.” He looked behind him to see a white pick-up truck backing up.

“What’s wrong with the truck driver. Why is doing that to us?” Joline asked, gripping the steering wheel with white knuckles.

The truck rammed the Mercedes again. James and Joline’s car grew perilously closer to the edge of the freeway. “Let me drive Joline. I’ll get us out of this honey,” James assured his wife.

They were changing seats when the truck crashed into them again. The Mercedes flipped and hurled down to a lower level of the freeway and burst into flame.

The driver of the truck sped off, dodging through traffic which had begun to move. As he drove by, he watched the Mercedes burn with boredom. Stupid tourists.

Wow! Such a cruel driver and how sad that James and Joline ended up at the end of his truck.

I know the truck driver is a sociopath. James and Joline chose the wrong truck to be infront of. Thanks for your comments.

Oo, that one took a nasty turn! Makes me sympathize with poor Joline, if her man thinks that someone ramming her car in a traffic jam is because she’s a bad driver – and that switching seats in the middle of the highway is a good idea! So telling when he says “This is a Mercedes,” like, how dare you hit ME?

Lol. He is not such a bad guy. He just thinks he is the best driver, and yes he loves cars. It was stupid of both of them to switch seats. But then again, the guy in the truck is the real jerk. Doesn’t even care he killed them. Thanks Angie

That driver is a proper killer with no conscience whatsoever. Very well written 🙂

No they weren’t. I don’t know what was wrong with the guy in the truck. Thanks for reading and your comments.

Sadly, a lot of people feel that way about tourists, they don’t just knock them off like the truck driver did. Those poor tourists!

Tourists in a Mercedes using GPS probably are the cause of the traffic jam. Bravo to the truck driver for clearing the way. Nicely done.

I had a similar experience on the dodgem cars at the fun fair recently! Fortunately I didn’t catch fire!

I pity the next driver that makes a mistake while driving in front that guy. Apparently no one is allowed to make a mistake and the trucker never makes one of course! Great road rage story.

Yeah, we have a lot of guys who drive big trucks in Alberta. Those guys are the worst drivers and the most impatient. They don’t think they need to follow the rules because they have a giant truck or “complex.” This guy just hated how tourists drive. Thanks for your comments Jessie!

Some guys in those big trucks, just have bad attitudes and road rage. Tourists who don’t know where they are going make guys like this extra mad. Thanks for your comments.
