Reading a Book by the Pool (www.polishonline.org)

I imagine I’m at the pool,

The sun shines and I tan a bit,

I’m reading a book from school,

Falling asleep I read and sit.

—-

I never read this book back then.

I’m not sure why I read it when,

I could immerse myself in water,

And forget these wrote words slaughtered.

  1. I like the line about “words slaughtered.” Direct and no doubt accurate for the text you’re trying to read. A few things I’ve had to take three tries at, because I thought I should know the works (or they were assigned). Yes, Moby-Dick is one. Good work–thanks! (And a pleasure to read!)

    1. Thank you again. Oh I know Moby-Dick is horrible. There is this movie out about the guy who wrote Moby-Dick and what it is based off of. If looks much more engaging. Thanks for the comments.
