1. Too Faced Boudoir Eye Shadow Palette – $45.00- http://www.sephora.ca – I absolutely love this palette it gives you three options of three different shadows for three varied looks. The look I use the least is the everyday look because I am so pale and the main color used for this is a whitish color that blends with my skin. However, it is still pretty and nice and light for those who don’t like to wear much eyeshadow. Along with the palette is a little booklet that tells you how to do each look so don’t fear if the three colors associated with a look seem intimidating. Too Faced makes it easy for those girls who aren’t so gifted with eye shadow to make themselves look fantastic. The second look is my favorite. You get to put this shimmery gold color all over your lid and lower brow and then a purplish color on your lid and then you shade in your crease with grey. It’s the normal look and it is fantastic. Also, I tend to use the going out look a lot when I am headed out in the evening. The main color is a light sparkly brown and of course black is used in the look in the end to highlight cat eyes or give a smokey look to your makeup. This palette is great. I have had it since Christmas and there is still tons of color left in even the smallest eye shadow. All the colors have cute little boudoir names and the whole thing comes in a great compact little tin. I completely recommend the palette and brand which I had never tried previously.
2. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 – $51.00-$56.00 – http://www.sephora.ca – I have found the foundation I will use as long as it exists. It is light, almost a bit runny, and it comes in 00 alabaster for pale skinned girls like me. There is such a variety of different shades and my shade is extremely hard to find so when I order (which I’m usually forced to do) I order two of the foundation. I put a little bit on the outside of my had and it blends into your face skin so nicely. It seems like it doesn’t quiet blend at first but let it sit on your face a few seconds then blend down with a brush and it will sit perfectly and flawlessly on your face. It doesn’t get very greasy if you have oily skin and it doesn’t make you break out. Even though it is a bit of a runny foundation it covers flaws well.
If liquid foundation is not your game then you can try the same foundation in stick form for a little cheaper. It goes on smoothly and you don’t have to put it everywhere just in a few places on your face like your forehead, cheeks, chin, and tip of your nose and not every single space on your face. Then you blend it after with a brush on your face. I am using it right now because I couldn’t find my color in the liquid foundation and I’m very happy with the stick version. It is also great if you are vacationing because the pump on the liquid version won’t accidentally get pushed and get foundation everywhere.
My only concern is with how long this foundation lasts for the price. The liquid foundation lasts about two months but I think that the stick foundation is just going to last over a month and it is only five cheaper then the liquid. Nonetheless, it’s my favorite foundation ever and I recommend to everyone. I know I did a blog on the liquid foundation before but I wanted to compare it with the stick foundation since that is what I am using now.
