  1. Hi darling,I’m Emma York.I started my blog because I wanted a place to share my thoughts and be able to write about what I want, with no rules or restrictions. I’m italian but I live in Canada. Italy is my real home and I miss the sun and the food so much! I have a lot of hobbies but sport is the main one, I was a gymnast for a long time. I have a big red cat that I adore but he is in Italy with my family 😦
I blog every 2 or 3 days, it depends when I have something to say of course. Advices for other writers? I really don’t have any, I started my blog 34 days ago, I need people to give ME advices 😀
Thanks again for this nomination, it was a beautiful gift!
    A big kiss

  2. I’m honored to even have been read! Here are my answers:
    1. Why did you first start writing?
I’ve always kept a journal but it was never personal, just some observations I’d had over the years. When I lost my mom the hospice lady suggested I journal my feelings, thoughts, etc. That was 14 years ago and I’ve never put down my pen.

    2. Where are you from?
    Concord, CA

    3. What’s your favorite thing about the place you’re from?
For 60+ years I’ve never lived out of my zip code, neither did my parents.

    4. What is your advice for other bloggers/writers?
You know the saying “dance like no one is watching”? Well I say write like no one is reading. I just let things flow because Elmore Leonard said “Write the story the way it should be written. Let someone else put in the commas and shit. ” That cracked me up so that’s the way I write. When submitting a piece anywhere, I have a friend who puts in the commas and shit that I’ve over looked.

    5. What is your favorite hobby?
I love writing, photography, reading, TV, time with my family, cooking and being on a beach anywhere.

    6. Do you have a pet?// 7. What kind of pet?
Not any more. Her name was Georgia and she was a huge, sweet Samoyed. All my pets died in the same year:
Georgia, 3 cats, a bird, and all fish in my fish tank…..I’m Done!

    8. What would you tell other people about where you’re from?
It’s 35 miles east of San Francisco. Nuff Said.

    9. How often do you blog?
Not often enough. Being newly retired I thought I’d have more time to write. But as it turns out I’m busier than when I worked. How does that happen????

    10. What’s your story, how or why did you start blogging?
I joined a writers group and this site was recommended to me in hopes of others reading me. I’m a very private person, (not a good thing for a wanna be writer) and don’t belong to ANY social media outlet. This is it.
But several of my stories have been published in a book series entitled Not Your Mother’s Book…On (fill in the blank).
I’m in the one On Family with 2 stories and one story will come out soon in …On Working For a Living. I’ve also been
noted as an honorable mention in a poem series. (I don’t do poetry) So I will continue blogging as often as possible but I seem to write more with pen and paper in hand. I carry a spiral notebook everywhere.

So thank you very much, MandiBelle, for even noticing the hard to find MonaD.
